Nottinghamshire and Lancashire are both unbeaten in the T20 Blast 2020 season so far. One of these teams is going to lose that mantle in this match, provided the weather cooperates of course! Both the teams have won three out of their five matches so far with the other two being rained out.
One of those rained out matches was their previous scheduled match against each other of this season as well.
The fight for the playoff spots is going to be tough and we don’t think either of these teams can rest on their laurels just yet.
Nottinghamshire vs Lancashire T20 Blast 2020 is going to be played at Trent Bridge, Nottingham on the 11th of September 2020.
The Nottinghamshire Outlaws have been very good with the bat in the matches they have played. In fact, their most destructive batsman, Alex Hales, has not been in the thick of things just yet which should be a scary proposition for the opposition teams.
Joe Clarke, Ben Duckett, and Chris Nash lead the batting offense for Nottinghamshire right now.
They have a lot more in the tank, though, with the likes of Tom Moores, Daniel Christian, and Samit Patel in there as well.
As far as batting lineups go, this is among the stronger ones that you will find in the Vitality Blast this season.
The bowling has not done too badly either. Fletcher and Ball are the leading wicket-takers so far. The addition of Imad Wasim is an excellent one for the team. He is going to be difficult to score off and provide another batting option down the order as well.
Nottinghamshire is going to be playing at home, which is another advantage in its favor.
AD Hales, Chris Nash, Joe Clarke, Ben Duckett, Tom Moores, DT Christian, Steven Mullaney, Samit Patel, SI Wasim, Luke Fletcher, Jake Ball.
When we talk about batsmen in form, the names of Keaton Jennings and Alex Davies have to be right up at the forefront. Both the batsmen have 186 and 183 runs to their names respectively in just three innings apiece.
Their strike-rates are above 130 which makes for a definite match-winning combination.
Most of the other batsmen in the Lancashire team have not had much to do so far and that is a concern. Dane Vilas is an excellent player but the rest of the batting line up looks a bit green to us.
A few early wickets, especially that of the openers, could expose a soft underbelly in this Lancashire team.
Tom Bailey has been the best bowler for Lancashire so far with 10 wickets to his name. he is going to have some support from Matt Parkinson, Luke Wood, and Tom Hartley in this match.
Overall, Lancashire looks like a tough team to come up against but one that has flaws that can be exposed.
Liam Livingstone, Alex Davies, KK Jennings, DJ Vilas, Steven Croft, Josh Bohannon, Danny Lamb, Luke Wood, Tom Hartley, Tom Bailey, Matt Parkinson.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to field first. Chasing can be a huge advantage at Trent Bridge so keep that in mind while placing your bets.

An excellent day with very little chance of rain has been forecast for this match. That means we should be treated to a high-scoring contest between two strong batting sides. The conditions at Trent Bridge are heavily in favor of the batsmen. It is one of the best batting surfaces in the world and we expect batsmen from both sides to take full advantage.
A score of around 180-190 should be the minimum that teams batting first aim for.
We are going to stick with the home team in this contest. Lancashire is a bit too top-heavy for our liking. There is going to come a match where Jennings and Davies fail and that is when Lancashire is going to be under tremendous pressure.
A better batting depth and a superior bowling attack give the advantage to Nottinghamshire in our opinion.
Bet on Nottinghamshire to win.
