Nottinghamshire had a poor T20 Blast season in 2018 by their standards. This is a team that used to be present on Finals Day and will definitely want to set the record right. They have a tough opening encounter, though, as they take on the defending champions to start their T20 Blast 2019 campaign.
Worcestershire dominated the T20 Blast in 2018. They finished the top of the table and then went o win the championship under the leadership of Moeen Ali. A lot of cricket pundits are saying that they could go on to repeat their success from last year.
The squad that they have assembled is certainly very strong. They also have a lot of international talent at their disposal.
Nottinghamshire Outlaws vs Worcestershire Rapids is a big-ticket match to start off the North Group and we are sure that both teams will realize the importance of winning this match.
Nottinghamshire ve Worcestershire Vitality T20 Blast 2019 is going to be played at Trent Bridge, Nottingham on the 18th of July 2019.
Nottinghamshire Outlaws barely snuck into the quarter-final in 2018 thanks to a blistering inning by Alex hales against Yorkshire. For a side that is considered as one of the best T20 sides in the country, that is just not good enough.
We think Nottinghamshire is going to come back with a vengeance this season. They are going to be led by Alex Hales in the batting department who would like to bring the focus back to his cricket. He was unable to be a part of the World Cup winning squad due to a positive drug test and he needs to make an impact in the T20 Blast 2019.
Ben Duckett is another player that has a lot of T20 talent and his joining the Notts side makes them immediately stronger. With Joe Clarke, Samit Patel, and Dan Christian in the team as well, there is no shortage of talent in the batting department.
If Trent Bridge provides the kind of T20 surfaces that it is known for then we could see the Nottinghamshire Outlaws make life difficult for every other team that travels there.
Harry Gurney and James Pattinson will lead the bowling attack for Nottinghamshire. Gurney has become known worldwide for his ability to bowl at the death and his mix of cutters is very effective against the power hitters.
James Pattinson will provide the raw pace which will keep the opposition batsmen in check. The only concern with him remains his fitness and the ability to stay on the park consistently.

The Worcestershire Rapids is another side that is packed with T20 talent. One of the big questions is going to be around the availability of Moeen Ali for the opening fixture. He was a part of the England squad that won the World Cup but he did not play the last few matches.
We don’t think there should be any issues of physical strain that will stop him from playing but mentally he may not be ready to embark on another tournament. Moeen Ali is also expected to be a part of the Ashes squad that plays Australia in just a few weeks.
Martin Guptill, another player who played a key role in the dying moments of the frenetic World Cup final is a part of the Worcestershire T20 Blast 2019 squad. He will be keen to get some runs under his belt and put the memories of that heartbreaking loss to bed.
With Rikki Wessels, Callum Ferguson, and several handy all-rounders, the Worcestershire rapids are still a formidable side even without the presence of Moeen Ali in their team.
We are very excited to see what Wayne Parnell brings to the table in this tournament. His batting has improved recently even as his bowling has stagnated a little. If he can get his radar right then Wayne Parnell is one of the most effective T20 bowlers playing this tournament.
With Pat Brown, Ben Cox, and Brett D’Oliveira also in the side to bolster the bowling, Worcestershire will be confident of keeping the Nottinghamshire batting under control.
Martin Guptill, Moeen Ali, Riki Wessels, Callum Ferguson, Ben Cox, Ed Barnard, Ross Whiteley, Brett D Oliveira, WD Parnell, Dillon Pennington, Patrick Brown.
The team that wins the toss is likely to want to bat second. Defending a total can be hard work at Trent Bridge and this is why most teams like to chase.

Nottinghamshire vs Worcestershire Vitality T20 Blast 2019 is going to be played at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. A nice and sunny day is expected on match day and we should not have any trouble getting a full game in.
The pitch at Trent Bridge is expected to be flat and good for batting. The boundaries at the ground can be ridiculously small in some directions and that opens the door for some remarkable chases to be pulled off.
A total of around 180-190 is the bare minimum teams will be looking for batting first.
These are two very strong teams taking on each other on the opening day of the season. It is difficult to say who is going to have a better start to the tournament. We have a strong feeling that Alex Hales is going to leave a big imprint on this tournament and that is why we are going with the home team here.
There is not much to choose between the sides but Nottinghamshire just edges it for us.
Bet on Nottinghamshire to win.
