NSW vs VAC Match Prediction - Nov 24, 2021

We are back on track in the Marsh Cup 2021 after breaking for a good break that lasted around ten days. The points table looks well-poised and this long break would have done more good than harm for all six sides. Up next in the tournament, New South Wales are set to take on Victoria in what will be the first outing of the tournament for them both, provided weather permits. The match between the two sides will be played at Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney on 24th November 2021.

NSW vs VAC Team Previews

New South Wales

Although New South Wales have a game played written against them on the points table, they have actually not even started in this tournament. Their first match was washed away due to rain and this upcoming match will be a chance for them to get off to a winning start. A win here will take them to the third spot and that that is exactly what they will be aiming for.

With Australia set to host England for Ashes, New South Wales are unlikely to be having their full-strength side available. However, they will have Moises Henriques and Kurtis Patterson available, who will both act as the backbone of their batting. With the ball, they have Ben Dwarshius available, who has been in terrific form of late.

Going into this upcoming match, one advantage that New South Wales have is that they are playing in their home conditions. Besides, they have the experience available, which can be crucial in crunch situations. If they are able to play to their potential in this upcoming contest, they should cruise to their first win of the tournament.

New South Wales Playing 11

M Gilkes, Daniel Hughes, Moises Henriques, Kurtis Patterson, Jack Edwards, Hayden Kerr, Daniel Sams, Baxter J Holt, Chris Tremain, Tanveer Sangha, Adam Zampa.

Victoria

Just like New South Wales, Victoria too have a match written against their name, but that got washed out due to rain. As it currently stands, Victoria are placed at the fifth spot and will want to convert their red-ball form into the white-ball form.

Victoria have been in brilliant touch in the Sheffield Shield, but it will be all different in this shorter version of the game considering that there will be a change in a few personnel as well. Also, they are likely to be without Marcus Harris, who has been the mainstay of their batting lineup of late. Other than that, however, Victoria look settled.

Overall, Victoria have a decent side, but with Marcus Harris unlikely to be there, the rest of their batsmen will have to step up their game and if they are able to do that, they will certainly be in business.

Victoria Playing 11

Sam Harper, Mackenzie Harvey, Jake Fraser McGurk, Peter Handscomb, Jonathan Merlo, James Seymour, Matthew Short, James Pattinson, Brody Couch, Samuel Elliott, T Murphy.

NSW vs VAC Betting Tips

Both these sides have not played a match yet and will be desperate to get off the mark. Also, it is tough to separate the two sides on the basis of white-ball form. Having said that, New South Wales seem to be having a better-balanced side between the two, at least on paper. Considering that and the other factors, we would be placing our money on a New South Wales win and so should you.
