NSW vs WAC Match Prediction & Betting Tips - Mar 13, 2021
The Marsh ODI Cup 2021 has been brilliant to watch so far. We get to see a lot of depth in Australian cricket and that is always a good thing for the sport as a whole. There are plenty of youngsters coming through the ranks and we should have a lot of future superstars to pick out.
However, it is not just about future superstars in this editing of the Marsh Cup. There are a lot of current Australian internationals that are playing in this tournament as well.
This next match is between New South Wales and Western Australia. NSW is currently unbeaten in the tournament with two wins from two matches while WA has won one out of the two it has played so far. This promises to be an interesting match between two teams quite different from each other.
New South Wales vs Western Australia Marsh ODI Cup 2021 is going to be played at the North Sydney Oval, Sydney on the 14th of March 2021.
NSW vs WAC Team Previews
New South Wales
David Warner returned for NSW in the previous match and immediately made an impact. As one of the world’s most dangerous ODI batsmen, he is going to be a huge asset for them. With 87 in his previous match, Warner is in fone form.
The batting around him is very strong as well. Matthew Gilkes, Moises Henriques, Kurtis Patterson, Oliver Davies, and Jack Edwards form a very strong batting lineup. There is a lot of experience and power down the order that can help NSW boost its total towards the end of the inning.
Among the bowlers, Nathan Lyon has been absolutely brilliant for NSW this season. He may not have picked up a wicket in the previous match but do not count him out just yet. Pat Cummins is the best fast-bowler in the world, no question about it, and he leads the bowling attack next to Ben Dwarshius and Sean Abbott.
With Liam Hatcher and Moises Henriques also in the lineup, there are enough options to call upon at all stages of the game.

Western Australia
WA would be disappointed with its performance in the previous match. It picked up four early wickets against Queensland but then let the middle-order stage a recovery and eventually take the game away from them.
Joel Paris picked up four wickets to be the pick of the bowlers while Matthew Kelly, Aaron Hardie, and Liam Guthrie also bowled quite well.
Cameron Green’s bowling has not been at its best and that is maybe exposing a weak link the bowling unit.
The batting performance was quite poor as none of the batsmen apart from Sam Whiteman managed to get some runs. He scored 52 at the top of the order and only Nick Hobson with 36 batting down the order made any sort of significant contribution.
The batting strength of WA depends a lot on Cameron Bancroft, Cameron Green, and Josh Inglis. There is enough talent in this lineup to not be taken lightly. The question is how they will fare against the exceptional bowling attack of New South Wales.

NSW vs WAC Toss Prediction
The team that wins the toss is likely to want to bowl first as there is some rain predicted for match day.
Read our guide on toss predictions to learn how we analyze and come up with our tips.
Pitch and Conditions
The weather forecast is not very good and a lot of rain has been forecast in Sydney on match day. We could have a lot of interruptions and may even struggle to get a match altogether if the forecast comes true. The pitch should be good for batting with a bit of help for the spinners but it is unlikely we will get to see too much of the surface in this match!
NSW vs WAC Betting Tips
We think a rained-out match is most likely, however, New South Wales definitely holds the advantage and should be able to win if the rain gods do relent. It has more international class in its ranks, the best bowler in the world, and one of the best batsmen in the world to headline its team.
Bet on New South Wales to win.
