Considering the kind of thrillers Abu Dhabi T10 competition produced on its inaugural day, the competition is too hard to ignore. Team Abu Dhabi tied with Qalandars in the third match of the first day and that may well be the signs for things to come in the tournament. While Team Abu Dhabi salvaged a point in their opening fixture, they'll be looking to go one step ahead against Northern Warriors, who they are set to face next in the competition. The match between the two sides will be played at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on 17th November.
On paper, the Warriros arguably have one of the best team in the tournament. With the likes of Chris Green, Andre Russell, Sam Billings, and George Munsey, there is no shortage of experience or fire-power.
Their power packed performance was witnessed by one and all in their first match of the tournament wherein they rampaged past Maratha Arabians with considerable ease. In their second game, however, they were found in dire straits after their openers failed to fire, leaving a colossal task to do for Andre Russell.
While Northern Warriors are pretty packed with power-hitters, they lack someone reliable at the top of the order. They are a little too over-reliant on Andre Russell to do the damage with the bat and the ball, which could haunt them in the upcoming fixture.

Team Abu Dhabi shrugged off all the talks about their relatively inexperienced bowling attack as they almost defended a par score on that surface. Marchant de Lange was the pick of their bowlers as he returned with two wickets to his name at the expense of just 20 runs in his two overs.
Batting first, Team Abu Dhabi got off to a flying start, but they couldn't keep their wickets intact as Niroshan Dickwella departed after playing a brisk knock of 17 runs. Moeen Ali and Luke Wright failed to score quickly after the departure of Dickwella. Corey Anderson then took the matter in his own hands and played a brutal innings of 43 runs, which came in just 22 deliveries. Barring RJ Gleeson, all bowlers appeared to be well adapted to the format and the conditions and gave away runs at the economy rate less than the required rate.
Team Abu Dhabi, however, suffered a major setback in the second innings when Corey Anderson got injured in trying to stop an edge flying to the boundary. It still remains to be seen if he is fit and available to play the upcoming match. All in all, Team Abu Dhabi appear to be a pretty strong unit, but they are likely to find it hard in case Corey Anderson doesn't feature in the upcoming fixture.
Niroshan Dickwella, LJ Wright, Moeen Ali, Alex Davies, Lewis Gregory, Paras Khadka, Marchant de Lange, Ben Laughlin, Rohan Mustafa, Richard Gleeson, Harry Gurney.
It's all happening in Abu Dhabi's premier ten-over competition. The team that looked invincible after the conclusion of the first day were defeated by Qalandars, who did not do as well as they'd have liked to. A win for Qalandars has not only rendered the table wide open, but has also made things a bit tough for the Warriors. Considering the two teams on paper and their performance in the tournament thus far, Northern Warriors are better placed to emerge on top in the upcoming encounter.
