NZ vs IND Match Prediction - Nov 30, 2022

The rain has plagued India's tour of New Zealand and it forced a washout of the second ODI as well. At this time, it appears as if the rain is unlikely to play a major role in the third ODI but in New Zealand, you can never be sure. New Zealand holds a 1-0 lead going into this final match of the series. It has a more experienced lineup and is unbeaten in its previous 13 ODI matches at home.

India is playing a young but exciting side. It made a few changes to its team from the first ODI but was unable to see how the combination worked. This could mean a similar lineup for the third and final ODI as well.

Match prediction and cricket betting tips for New Zealand vs India 3rd ODI 2022. The match will be played at the Hagley Oval, Christchurch on the 30th of November 2022.

NZ vs IND Team Previews

New Zealand

New Zealand made just one change to its lineup as it brought in Michael Bracewell in place of Adam Milne. That result did not work too well in the brief period that the match was played. Still, it would be harsh to drop Bracewell so soon especially after he has had a great start to his international career.

New Zealand is a pretty well-settled team. It will stick to Finn Allen and Devon Conway at the top of the order followed by Kane Williamson, Daryl Mitchell, Tom Latham, and Glenn Phillips. The two spin-bowling all-rounders add depth to the batting lineup while the fast bowlers round out the team.

In second place in the ODI Super League, New Zealand is a very strong team and has done exceptionally well at home. Its biggest strength has to be its bowling lineup. If the ball swings, Tim Southee and the rest become very hard to face.

The batting is also quite dependable and capable of getting to around 300 in most matches.

New Zealand Playing 11

Finn Allen, Devon Conway, Kane Williamson, Daryl Mitchell, Tom Latham, Glenn Phillips, Mitchell Santner, Adam Milne, Matt Henry, Tim Southee, Lockie Ferguson.

India

India played a very conservative brand of cricket in the first match but showed more attacking intent in the second one. Of course, that could also be due to the fact that rain was around and forced India's hand. Irrespective of this fact, India's batting lineup seems to be strong enough to be able to compete with New Zealand.

Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav are in great form while the likes of Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer can be relied on to score in most games as well. The problem is Rishab Pant in the middle as his poor run just does not seem to be ending.

We were quite surprised to see Sanju Samson dropped from the lineup once more in favor of Deepak Hooda for the second match. Hooda brings in another bowling option but he is most comfortable batting in the top order. Now that the decision has been made, though, the same will be followed for the third match as well.

India's bowling is quite weak. Arshdeep Singh is effective as long as the ball is swinging but can struggle afterward. Deepak Chahar is returning from injury, Umran Malik is still quite raw, and Yuzvendra Chahal out of form. This is the biggest hurdle for India because its batting is not always able to compensate for the lack of wicket-taking potential of its bowling unit.

Pitch and Conditions

There is a bit of rain forecast on match day but for the most part, we should be able to get a game in. Whether we lose a few overs or not may have to do with plain and simple luck! The pitch at the Hagley Oval is quite balanced. The bowlers have something to work with but the batters can dominate after getting their eye in.

The boundaries at this venue are quite big and give the bowlers a bit of a chance as well. We think something around 300 is par.

NZ vs IND Betting Tips

We think New Zealand has a great chance of extending its winning run at home. Its team is well-settled and covers all the bases. It is not as exciting as perhaps India's batting can be but overall, there are fewer weaknesses. Also, in home conditions, New Zealand is very tough to beat.

Bet on New Zealand to win.
