Pakistan has won its ODI series against Zimbabwe by taking a 2-0 lead. We don’t think winning the series was ever in question, though. Pakistan is a much better side than Zimbabwe in most respects. We will try to look for some betting opportunities where you can find value in this match.
The visitors have not been embarrassed in the two matches they have played so far. In fact, they had Pakistan in a fair bit of trouble in the first match and gave a decent account of themselves in the second as well.
Can Zimbabwe actually pull off an upset and take back a win to its name in this series?
Pakistan vs Zimbabwe 3rd ODI 2020 is going to be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi on the 3rd of November 2020.
After a shaky batting performance in the opening match where the Pakistani batsmen seemed more intent on surviving rather than playing freely, things got back to normal in the second ODI. Babar Azam scored 77 not out and could have easily converted that into yet another ODI hundred had the target been there.
Imam ul Haq continued his good form too and played with more fluency. Abid Ali will want to convert his starts into a big total soon while Haider Ali was successful in getting the big hits down the order.
We do believe the middle-order of Mohammad Rizwan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, and Imad Wasim is lacking in quality. Yes, the depth is there on paper but this is a part of the Pakistani batting that can be put under pressure.
Zimbabwe may not have the bowling to do it but the fault exists clearly for everyone to see.
After a brilliant bowling performance in the first match, Shaheen Afridi had to go wicketless. He still bowled very well and kept the pressure on the Zimbabwe batsmen alongside Haris Rauf and Muhammad Musa.
Iftikhar Ahmed was a bit lucky to have picked five wickets but he did bowl with a lot of control.
Pakistan may look to rotate a few more of its players ahead of its last match.
Imam-ul-Haq, Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Haider Ali, Mohammad Rizwan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Hasnain, Wahab Riaz, Shaheen Afridi, Muhammad Musa.
Zimbabwe has been quite steady in this series and played to its strengths. It is obviously a less-talented team than Pakistan but it also plays a lot less cricket. There has been a long-standing problem with its domestic cricket structure also but things are looking better in recent times.
For Zimbabwe to be able to pull off an upset, three of its best batsmen need to score runs. We are talking about Craig Ervine, Brendan Taylor, and Sean Williams. All three have the ability to score big runs and to negotiate high-quality bowling successfully.
Taylor has already scored one century in the first match but did not get the support required.
It is also strange to see Sikandar Raza bat so low down the order. He is a better batsman than that and should maybe move one position up to give himself more time to get settled.
Zimbabwe has some players that can bat time and score at sedate strike-rate but it does not have the batsmen to be able to ratchet things up against a top-quality lineup.
The bowling is also pretty weak. None of the seam bowlers have genuine pace and are effective by sticking to good lines. Similarly, the spinners are not really turning the ball too much or trying out any variations.
The end result is a bowling attack against which you can get set pretty easily. Zimbabwe is picking up wickets when the Pakistani batsmen are making mistakes and not for any other reason.
Brian Chari, Chamu Chibhabha, Craig Ervine, BRM Taylor, Sean Williams, Wesley Madhevere, Sikandar Raza, Tendai Chisoro, Donald Tiripano, Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first.

The conditions in Rawalpindi have been a bit slower than usual although there is always some bounce in the surface for the fast bowlers. A total of 300 should not be hard to achieve if Pakistan bats first but Zimbabwe will be happy defending anything around 250 also.
The pitch is not going to change too much from one inning to another except maybe becoming a bit slower.
Pakistan should be able to win this series 3-0 without too much trouble. It has a better batting lineup, an exponentially better bowling attack, and home conditions in its favor. The odds may not be too great but betting on Pakistan is the only realistic option right now.
Bet on Pakistan to win.
We think there is a very good chance of you winning this bet provided Pakistan bat’s first. You can win if Pakistan bats second as well but the possibility of there not being enough runs to get for a batsman to score a century exists.
With Babar Azam in the side, this bet can be an excellent one to make for this match.
This is as close to a sure thing as you can get. The odds are not great but a 35% return on your stake is nothing to take lightly. Pakistan’s batting is more powerful and so it has a great chance of winning you this bet. It also has a much better bowling lineup which will stop Zimbabwe from scoring sixes. You win either way!
This is a betting market that we found only on 1xBet. Babr Azam is going to bat at 3 for Pakistan. This means he is in the prime position to score runs no matter if Pakistan bats first or second. He scored 77 in the previous match and is in good form too. Take the money!
