Pakistan women have managed to win their T20 series at home without dropping a single match. That 3-0 scoreline was well deserved and comprehensive in nature even though some of the matches look close on the scorecard.
Pakistan now has the chance to continue its success in the ODI format. There are two matches that are scheduled to be played and will offer the Bangladeshi players some more opportunities to get a win under their belt. Usually, though, the gulf between sides continues to increase as the format of cricket becomes longer.
There is a lot of work ahead for the Bangladesh women’s team.
Pakistan Women vs Bangladesh Women 1st ODI is going to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on the 2nd of November 2019.
Pakistan women won a historic T20 series against Bangladesh and would not want to let that momentum stall. The side was a level above Bangladesh in every single aspect of the game and we expect the same to continue in the ODI series as well.
Some of the standout performers for Pakistan in the T20 series are going to be in the limelight during the ODI series as well.
Javeria Khan, Bismah Maroof, and Omaima Sohail were the leading scorers for Pakistan women in the recently concluded series. Both Javeria Khan and Bismah Maroof are the leading batters for Pakistan in the ODI format as well and their good form bodes well for the home team.
There is going to be a slight concern in the lack of runs from the other batters.
50 overs is a long time and Pakistan does not want to be in a situation where it sets Bangladesh a small total that it can reach without taking any risks whatsoever.
Sadia Iqbal, Diana Baig, and Anam Amin were the highest wicket-takers for Pakistan. Sana Mir and Aliya Riaz are also expected to play a big role in the ODI’s and contribute with both the bat and ball.
Sidra Ameen, Nahida Khan, Javeria Khan, Bismah Maroof, Omaima Sohail, Aliya Riaz, Sana Mir, Sidra Nawaz, Diana Baig, Sadia Iqbal, Nashra Sandhu.
It is going to b tough for Bangladesh to be able to win a match against Pakistan on this tour. The T20 internationals were the best chance for Bangladesh to cause an upset because their lack of experience is going to show up more in the 50 over format.
The only way that we can see Bangladesh women winning a match is by causing a Pakistani batting collapse. The bowlers led by Salma Khatun, Jahanara Alam, and Lata Mondal will have to get some early wickets and then keep Pakistan to a low total.
The Bangladeshi bowling has not been bad in the matches played so far but that has not been enough to get it over the line. The batting has been very poor as only Rumana Ahmed has recorded a 50 plus score from the Bangladeshi side.
There are quite a few players that are capable of hitting boundaries and scoring runs at a fast clip but consistency is not something that they are known for. In fact, we have yet to see a match on this tour when more than one batter made a telling contribution for Bangladesh.
Players like Rumana Ahmed, Ayesha Rahman, Sanjida Islam, and Sharmin Sultana have to play sensibly and take the game deep. If Bangladesh is still in the game when the second half of the second inning starts then anything can happen.
Sanjida Islam, Sharmin Akhter, Nigar Sultana, Fargana Hoque, Rumana Ahmed, Fahima Khatun, Salma Khatun, Jahanara Alam, Nahida Akter, Panna Ghosh, Murshida Khatun.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first as the pitch may become more difficult for batting in the second inning.

The weather in Lahore has been excellent for cricket so far and that should not change for this match either. The pitch at the Gaddafi stadium has been good for batting. It has had three T20 matches played on it and could be a bit slower for the ODI’s.
The basic nature of the surface is slow and conducive to spin which is not going to vary.
A score of about 200 may be par in the ODI’s.
We recommend sticking with the home team in this match and betting on Pakistan. Upsets are much less likely in the 50 over format although they are by no means impossible.
