PAKW vs BANW Match Prediction - Nov 04, 2019

It is time for the final match of Bangladesh women’s tour to Pakistan. They have lost all their matches on the tour so far and this is going to be their last chance to get at least something to their name. The ODI leg of the tour consists of just two matches so if Bangladesh women are able to win this match, they will end up sharing the ODI trophy with Pakistan.

The home team is not going to be in any charitable mood, though, and will be keen to maintain its perfect record.

Pakistan Women vs Bangladesh Women 2nd ODI is going to be played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on the 4th of November 2019.

PAKW vs BANW Team Previews

Pakistan Women

Pakistan’s top-order played pretty well in the opening ODI of this series as Nahida Khan top-scored with 68 runs to her name. Her runs came off 97 calls, though, which is a bit slow for an opening batter.

Sidra Ameen, Bismah Maroof, Omaima Sohail, and Aliya Riaz all made some decent contributions but did not convert their starts into something more substantial. Had the lower-order batters managed to get some big hits then Pakistan would have ended up closer to 250.

Looking at the start and the quality of the Bangladeshi bowling, Pakistan would have been disappointed with their final total. For the upcoming match, the first order of business would be to see some big scores from the top order batters, not just starts.

Bismah Maroof, Omaima Sohail, and Javeria Khan are the three batters we are looking at to have the maximum impact in this match. All three of them are just too good to be missing out against Bangladesh’s bowling attack.

Sana Mir took three wickets in the first ODI and was the best bowler for Pakistan. She really seems to come into her own in the 50 over format and we think she could be the lead wicket-taker in this upcoming game as well.

Diana Baig, Sadia Iqbal, and Nashra Sandhu also continued their good form as they picked two wickets each to keep Bangladesh’s bowling under control.

Nahida Khan, Javeria Khan, Bismah Maroof, Omaima Sohail, Iram Javed, Aliya Riaz, Sana Mir, Sidra Nawaz, Diana Baig, Nashra Sandhu, Syeda Aroob Shah.

Bangladesh Women

Nigar Sultana became only the second Bangladeshi woman to score a fifty-plus score on this tour as she top-scored with 58 in the first match. She would have rued not receiving more support from the other batters as there was a time when Pakistan’s total looked well within reach.

Sharmin Akhter, Sanjida Islam, and Rumana Ahmed were expected to provide some solid support with the bat but they were not disciplined enough to play any substantial role in the match.

Unfortunately for Bangladesh, this has been the story of the entire series. There are one or two attractive cameos in every match while the rest of the players just end up throwing away their wickets. There is very little concern for the kind of inning required according to the match situation and there seems to be no strategic planning that is guiding the side.

If Bangladesh women think they are going to be able to just stumble upon wins in the international arena then they are going to struggle for a long while. Women’s cricket has become immensely more professional in the last few years and Pakistan cricket too seems to have kept up with the change.

Bangladesh’s bowling was its weak spot coming into the series but it actually managed to put in its best performance so far in the first ODI. Jahanara Alam picked up three wickets, Panna Ghosh was quite impressive, and Nahida Akter was very good as well.

Salma Khatun, Fahima Khatun, and Rumana Ahmed were the bowlers that went for plenty of runs and ended up losing the momentum back to Pakistan.

PAKW vs BANW Betting Tips

We think Pakistan women are going to be able to keep their unbeaten streak intact and end up with a clean sweep in the ODI’s as well. There is a lot of work that remains to be done by Bangladeshi women in terms of planning and strategy. They may win but it is going to be a fluke and not something that we can recommend betting on.

Bet on Pakistan women to win.
