It has been a completely one-sided series for England women against Pakistan women. The English girls have not lost a single match in any of the formats and the contest has barely even been close. The ODI series was won 2-0 and now England women have a chance to seal the T20 series with a win in this match as well.
The Pakistan women would love to take the series into the final match and make a contest out of this series. To do that, they will have to do something special and play far beyond what they have done so far.
Pakistan women vs England women 2nd T20 is going to be played at the Kinrara Academy Oval, Kuala Lumpur on the 19th of December 2019.
England women won the first match of the T20 series against Pakistan women by 29 runs. The margin of victory is pretty big in T20 cricket but could have easily been bigger. It never looked like the Pakistan women were in the contest and the England women never had to leave second gear.
Amy Ellen Jones continued her good form with a fifty in the previous match while Tammy Beaumont, Natalie Sciver, Katherine Brunt, and Heather Knight all got runs as well. This is a very strong England women's side that is going to be fighting to get time in the middle.
All of the players have been scoring runs in the WBBL recently and are in terrific form.
Sophie Ecclestone, Anya Shrubsole, and Katherine Brunt are the core of the bowling attack. They well supported by a number of all-rounders that can more than hold their own too. The weak Pakistan women batting has not posed many questions to the bowlers so far.
Javeria Khan, Nahida Khan, Bismah Maroof, Omaima Sohail, Nida Dar, Aliya Riaz, Iram Javed, Sidra Nawaz, Diana Baig, Syeda Aroob Shah, Anam Amin.
Take Bismah Maroof out of this Pakistan side and you have a side that would struggle to beat first-class teams from England. Javeria Khan, Omaima Sohail, and Nida Dar have been very disappointing in this series.
The batters just do not seem to be able to adapt to the English bowling even at this stage in the series.
Bismah Maroof scored 60 in the previous match and Omaima Sohail got 14 while the other four batters in the top-6 managed a total of one run. It is next to impossible to win matches with such performances and something has to be done by the Pakistani team management to change things around.
The depth in the squad is quite poor and there are not enough people knocking at the doors.
Nida Dar picked up two wickets and Syeda Aroob Shah was decent too but overall the bowling has been too easy to score off. Pakistan has a spin dominated attack and the surfaces in Malaysia have not offered too much help to them.
It is difficult to see this bowling attack run through an English batting lineup or put them under severe pressure.

The team that wins the toss is going to want to field first.

A lot of rain is forecast in Malaysia on match day but the rain is expected to arrive a bit after the scheduled start of the match. We could have a situation where the side batting first is able to get through half of their inning before the rain arrives and prevents any further play.
A no-result due to rain is the most likely result here but if by some miracle the rain relents then we expect England women to continue their winning run.
Bet on England women to win.
