Punjab

Punjab has had an excellent run in the league stages, winning 6 of its 7 matches, and finishing at the top of Group B. They then beat Haryana in the pre-quarterfinals and Karnataka in the quarterfinals to set up a clash with Himachal Pradesh.

Wicket-keeper batsman Prabhsimran Singh has been excellent at the top of the order and has scored 312 runs at an average of 62.4. Shubhman Gill, who came back to the squad in the later half of the season, has been quite impressive, scoring a century in the match against Karnataka. Abhishek Sharma has proved to be a handy all-rounder, scoring 258 runs and picking up 8 wickets.

He, along with Baltej Singh and Mayank Markande has provided great support to Siddharth Kaul, who is the top wicket-taker this season with 19 wickets. Overall, Punjab looks like a well-oiled machine at this stage.

Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh has enjoyed a lucky ride to the semi-finals. Two of its matches were washed out, but the team finished at the top of Group D, above the likes of Gujarat and Saurashtra. They won the quarterfinals against Bengal in the last ball thriller, booking a spot in the next stage.

Prashant Chopra has played well at the of the order, providing his team with decent starts. Akash Vasisht has been the standout player for Himachal, scoring an aggregate of 148 runs and picking up 3 wickets.

Rishi Dhawan, Mayank Dagar, and Kanwar Abhinay have each picked up 8 wickets. With such varied bowling options, Himachal can create problems for Punjab batsmen.
