ECN Czech Super Series T10 is off to a flying start with fantastic shows by the teams in the first two weekends. The third week is expected to follow the same trajectory with four fantastic teams set to take on each other.
The second match of the day will be played between Prague CC Rooks and Prague Barbarians Vandals on Saturday, 27th June, at Scott Page Field, Vinor Cricket Ground in Prague. Both sides in this contest are established teams with an excellent amalgamation of experience and exuberance and fans should expect a nail-biting encounter between the two.
Prague Cricket Club is known to be one of the oldest Cricket Clubs in Prague and the Rooks is the Club's second team. They have put up strong performances in recent times, including a title win in the Pro40 Czech Division One tournament. Thanks to the experience and talent they have at their disposal, they have matched the club's first team in all departments of the game.
Much of the credit for the Rooks brilliant performances goes to their skipper Keyur Mehta, who has not only led the team proactively but has also contributed as a player. He is the leading wicket-taker for the Rooks and his hard-hitting skills have often been handy for the Rooks to seal the deal. Prague's bowling appears to be in good hands with Mendon having ample assistance. The availability of Akash Parmar as a specialist bowler and the all-rounders add variety to their bowling attack.
On paper, their batting is second to none. Shripal Gajjar and Kushal Mendon have both been in terrific form in the last two years and keeping them quiet will be a big challenge for the Barbarians. The duo has over a thousand runs combined to their disposal and that experience could be useful in the shortest format of the game as well. All in all, the Rooks appear to be a fairly well-settled unit, and getting past them would be a big ask, not just for the Rooks, but also for the other teams set to deal with them in the upcoming encounters.
Piyushsingh Baghel, Kishan Panchal, Ali Hassan Sittar, Smit Patel, Kushal Mendon, Jaydeep Patel, Rohit Deshmoyni, Mohammed Salih Pooparambil, Avinash Kumar, Aakash Parmar, Surya Rangarajan.
Established in 2007, Prague Barbarians Cricket Club has grown leaps and bounds. The Vandals, one of the club's teams, finished runners-up in the recently concluded Czech Indoor League Division 1 and will be looking to put up a similar, if not better, performance in this widely-followed tournament.
The Vandals have a talented batting lineup with experience oozing through. Sabawoon Davizi is their most experienced player, who contributes in both departments of the game. He has scored over 700 runs in 27 matches and averages 29.28. He also happens to be the only player in T20I history to score a century and dismiss four players in one match. Honey Gori is Vandals' another player who plays for the national team. Gori opens the batting as well as the bowling and has terrific stats to back his name.
On paper, the Vandals appear to be a bit short on specialists, but their prowess lies in their all-rounders. They have as many as four players who all have contributed immensely in both the departments of the game and Barbarians Vandals' fate will more or less depend upon the performances of their all-rounder. Prague Barbarians Vandals could be the team to beat in the Group 3 of ECN Czech Super Series T10.
Jafar Stooman, Divyendra Singh, Sagar Madhireddy, Birendra Kumar, Sabawoon Davizi, Jahanur Hoque, Uday Gali, Pradeep Gangappa, Honey Gori, Shantanu Kulkarni, Andrew Sim.
Teams have increasingly preferred to bowl first statistically as the format as gotten shorter. The conditions here will help the team bowling first, albeit slightly and that could be enough for the captain winning the toss to bowl first.

In all the matches played on this surface in the tournament so far, the winning first innings total has hovered around 80. While chasing a total around 70 has been incredibly easy so far, the case has been different while chasing a total in excess of 80. With overcast conditions prevalent in Prague, we expect nothing different in this match as well. The team batting first will be looking to put a total of at least 80 runs on the board.
Check out the Dream11 fantasy team prediction for the ECN Czech Super Series T10 Group 3 match between Prague CC Rooks and Prague Barbarians Vandals:
As both sides have plenty of experience and talent available at their disposal, there is very little to separate the two sides. While the excellent amalgamation of specialists and all-rounders is Rooks' forte, the availability of several match-winners is Vandals' strength. Vandals have depth in their batting lineup and that could be a crucial factor even in this format of the game. For that reason, we think that betting on a Vandals' win should be the way to go here.
