PERW vs BHW Match Prediction - Nov 16, 2019

We have a very intriguing WBBL match up ahead between the Perth Scorchers women and the Brisbane Heat women. Both of these teams had a slow start to WBBL 05 and have since turned their fortunes around. Brisbane Heat, the defending champion of the WBBL is back at the top of the table for the time being while Perth Scorchers have also risen to the fourth spot and are now in the qualification zone.

Both the teams have won four out of their last five matches and will be hoping to continue in the same vein. Brisbane Heat and Perth Scorchers are separated by net run-rate only at the moment and it was the Perth Scorchers that emerged winners when they met earlier this season. It must be remembered here that Brisbane Heat has a match against Sydney Thunder and so these stats are going to change a bit by the time they play the Perth Scorchers again.

Perth Scorchers Women vs Brisbane Heat Women WBBL 05 is going to be played at Drummoyne Oval, Sydney on the 17th of November 2019.

PERW vs BHW Team Previews

Perth Scorchers Women

We thought the Perth Scorchers were very lucky to win their previous match against Sydney Thunder. They were restricted to 116 batting first on a spicy WACA pitch and then managed to bowl out Sydney Thunder for 105 to register an 11 runs win.

Neither side played well and as it turned out, the Perth Scorchers batted just a bit less terribly and bowled a bit better.

The last time the Perth Scorchers played against Brisbane Heat, they ended up winning by nine wickets. Getting that sort of result is not going to be easy this time since Brisbane Heat is on a real roll.

For the Scorchers to win, its strong batting lineup must fire. Amy Ellen Jones, Meg Lanning, Georgia Redmayne, Natalie Sciver, Nicole Bolton, and Heather Graham are all good batters. This long lineup allows the Scorchers to play freely.

Meg Lanning is going to be the biggest wicket in this match and we like the fact that she has moved back to number three in the batting lineup, a position she seems very comfortable at.

The bowling is going to be led by Natalie Sciver, Kim Garth, and Heather Graham. Taneale Peschel did well in the previous match while the all-rounders continue to chip in as needed. The Perth Scorchers have found a nice rhythm to their playing style and are going to be difficult to stop.

Brisbane Heat Women

This is going to be the second match that Brisbane Heat will be playing on consecutive days. That may be a bit of a disadvantage since its opponents are going to b well rested and raring to go. Brisbane Heat has won its previous three matches and is playing worthy of champions at the moment.

They would not mind the increased amount of cricket coming their way right now.

Beth Mooney started the tournament in good form and has just continued to get better with every match. She has five fifty plus scores to her name, the most for any player in WBBL 05, and is leading the run-scoring charts by a fair margin.

She was 70 not out in the chase against the Melbourne Stars and ensured that Brisbane Heat chased down a tricky target with plenty of overs to spare. The question now that every single team must be asking is how long can this dream run of Beth Mooney last?

Maddy Green has stepped up as an opener and is scoring runs while Jess Jonassen has also become quite consistent at number three. Grace Harris, Laura Harris, and Kirby Short are the players that make up the rest of the batting lineup.

We are not too sure about the batting lineup, though, and believe that Mooney’s early wicket could make things quite difficult for Brisbane Heat.

Sammy-Jo Johnson, Delissa Kimmince, Jess Jonassen, Amelia Kerr, Grace Harris, and Courtney Grace Sippel played the game against the Melbourne Stars. They did not have the greatest of matches as Mignon du Preez smashed them around the park.

They will need to do better in this match against the Perth Scorchers.

Pitch and Conditions

The weather forecast for match day is pretty solid and we don’t think there is much likelihood of rain interrupting this intriguing match. The pitch at the Drummoyne Oval is expected to be good for batting with a little bit in it for the spinners.

This would be the second game in succession being played at the venue and so we could see the pitch slow down towards the middle of the second inning.

PERW vs BHW Dream11 Prediction

Dream11 team and Dream11 prediction for Perth Scorchers Women vs Brisbane Heat Women was a bit tough to balance since only a couple of players seem to be making most of the points in both the batting and bowling departments. The Dream11 values have been assigned correspondingly and fitting in all the major players was a challenge. We have come up with something that should be pretty competitive, though.
