The start of Women's Big Bash League is set to be pretty action-packed as we see all eight teams play two matches each on the very first two days of the tournament. After locking horns with Brisbane Heat, Perth Scorchers will take on Hobart Hurricanes in the 7th match of the competition in a bid to get an early lead in the tournament. Both sides have some exciting players available at their disposal and are likely to come out hard in the upcoming match, which is to be played at Hurstville Oval, Sydney, on 26th October 2020.
If there's any team that can match the Sydney Sixers on the top-order they had in 2018, its Perth Scorchers. With Sophie Devine, Beth Mooney, and Amy Jones available at the top of the order for the Scorchers, their batting certainly seems to be well equipped.
The Scorchers had a good run last year before bowing out in the semi-finals. On paper, they have a good top-order but seem to be a little thin in the finishing department. While there are players who can hit the ball long and hard, they lack experience in their lower middle-order and that could turn out to be a crucial factor in the upcoming contest.
Just as is the case with their lower middle-order, the Scorchers seem to lack the international quality experience in the bowling department as well. While the addition of Sarah Glenn certainly adds to the strength of their bowling unit, over-reliance on her could well and truly backfire for the Scorchers.
All in all, Perth Scorchers have a decent team that has an extraordinary top-order. However, their bowling depends heavily on Sophie Devine and Sarah Glenn and the other teams can plan to attack Scorchers. The Scorchers would need to get their tactics spot on and if they can do that, the sheer quality of match-winners they have will be enough to hand them a win in this upcoming contest.

Hobart Hurricanes were one of the worst-performing teams in the Women's Big Bash League last year as they finished at the seventh spot on the points table. While their skipper seems pretty confident this time around, they are unlikely to have an easy time on the field especially without the services of Tayla Vlaerminck and Maisy Gibson.
This year, the Hurricanes have added a bit of extra firepower in their batting department by signing up Rachel Priest and Chloe Tyron. Chloe Tyron impressed last year with her abilities to hit the ball hard right from the outset. Rachel Priest's experience is certainly going to come in handy in what otherwise seems to be a little inexperienced batting unit. Having said that, they do have Hayley Matthews and Nicola Carey available at their disposal, who both can be pretty useful with the bat.
Despite two of their mainstream bowlers getting injured, the Hurricanes appear to be having a decent bowling attack. While their bowling seems to be short on experience, we have seen the likes of Belinda Vakarewa, Amy Smith, and Brooke Hepburn do well with the ball. These bowlers will certainly have a huge role to play in the coming game.
Overall, it seems that Hobart Hurricanes have fixed most of the bottlenecks they had last year, but the injuries to their premier bowlers certainly have taken a lot off their balance. On paper, they now have a talented side, handling crunch situations could be difficult for them. If they can do that, the Hurricanes will be in for a much-improved performance this year.

Check out the Dream11 fantasy team lineup for the upcoming Women's Big Bash League 2020 match, which is to be played between Perth Scorchers and Hobart Hurricanes. Don't forget to check back for the latest updated team right after the toss.
The two teams had contrasting runs respectively last year with Scorchers enjoying a decent amount of success while Hurricanes not so much. Considering that the tournament is tightly-packed this time around, this could all change as momentum will be key. Early points on the board will be of significant importance and both sides will strive hard to get the two points up for grabs in this match. Comparing the two sides on-paper, the Scorchers appear to be slightly ahead of the Hurricanes largely because of the superb top-order that they have. For that reason, Scorchers walk in as firm favorites to win this upcoming encounter.
