This next match of the WBBL 2020 season is between the two best teams of the season so far. The Perth Scorchers have hit their stride and now have four wons in a row. They sit on the second place on the WBBL league table right now. They are going to be going up against the Melbourne Stars.
The Meg Lanning led Stars have won all but one of their games (which they lost in the Super Over). As the leaders of the WBBL table right now, the Stars are the team to beat.
Both of these teams spent the big bucks to get the best players on their sides and it is showing.
Perth Scorchers vs Melbourne Stars WBBL 2020 is going to be played at the Hurstville Oval, Sydney on the 17th of November 2020.
The Perth Scorchers come into this match in red-hot form. After a disappointing start, the Scorchers are winning everything that they can. Sophie Devine and Beth Mooney are finding the middle of the bat every time they face a ball and that is being reflected in the results.
We don’t think there is any other batting pair more intimidating than Devine and Mooney at the moment.
Chloe Piparo has hit some form but the rest of the batters continue to be a concern. The Scorchers could have a soft underbelly that the Stars can exploit.
Nicole Bolton, Taneale Peschel, and Sophie Devine lead a decent bowling attack. There are no real weak spots in this bowling attack and that is where the Scorchers may be able to get one up over the Stars in this match.
Beth Mooney, Chloe Piparo, Heather Graham, Nicole Bolton, M Carmichael, Jemma Barsby, Megan Banting, Sarah Glenn, Taneale Peschel, Piepa Cleary, S Betts.
The Melbourne Stars are perhaps the best batting unit in the WBBL this season. Meg Lanning has been unstoppable and is scoring runs in almost every single match. She has also got some very good support from Villani, du Preez, and Sciver.
While there may not be two superstars in this lineup, the depth of the batting is actually better than that of the Perth Scorchers.
The bowling is just not as strong for the Melbourne Stars, though.
They have Natalie Sciver, who is in good form, but the rest of the bowling has been pretty ineffective at picking up wickets or keeping the runs down. Holly Ferling, Annabel Sutherland, and the rest need to up their game significantly to get past the strong top order of the Perth Scorchers.

The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first. This has been the preferred choice for all of the teams this season and there is no reason to suggest that will change.

The conditions are expected to be on the slower side and so batting may not be as fluent as we have seen in previous matches. The outfield is small but a bit heavy and so the boundaries will be harder to come by as well.
A score of around 130 is going to be par batting first.
We think the Perth Scorchers are going to win this match. Their top-2 batters in superb form, the bowling is better than the Melbourne Stars, and the team is on a four-match winning streak.
Bet on the Perth Scorchers to win.
