Swift Gallopers To Win the Match, 1.73
Read our quick thoughts
  • Swift Gallopers have experienced at the top of the order and that can be a game-changer in crunch situations
  • Kamran Akmal is in superb form and could be tough to deal with for the Gladiators, who appear to have a rather one-dimensional bowling attack
  • Swift Gallopers bat deep and that can turn out to be the difference in a win or loss as has so often happened in cricket

PG vs SG Match Prediction & Analysis

Just when Qatar T10 League was beginning to gain traction among the fans, a couple of back to back wash-outs diluted the excitement. With a fantastic match between Desert Riders and Falcon Hunters, the tournament is up and running again. Up next in the tournament are Pearl Gladiators set to take on Swift Gladiators West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha. Both the sides are in the bottom half of the points table and will be desperate for a win in the upcoming contest. We expect a cracker of a contest between these two sides on Thursday.

Team Previews

Pearl Gladiators

Just like Swift Gallopers, Pearl Gladiators too have played two games in the tournament so far. They are still searching for success and their only point on the board has been due to a rain-abandoned game. With just three matches remaining for them, they need to quickly make a move or it would be too late for them.

While their previous match was washed-out due to rain, they were handed an embarrasing defeat by Flying Onyx in the first match of the tournament. A couple of run-outs robbed Gladiators of a strong start as both their openers became victim of strong throw from Nouman Sarwar. Their batting struggled to score quickly and they eventually ended up with a pretty modest total of 85 runs.

Their bowlers needed to be disciplined and accurate for Gladiators to have any shot at the win, but barring Mohammed Nadeem, none of their bowlers were able to make any impact whatsoever. Mohammad Nadeem returned with the figures of 1 for 11 in his two overs and will be a key figure for Gladiators to do well against the Gallopers.

Swift Gallopers

Swift Gallopers bounced back into the tournament with a stupendous win over Falcon Hunters in their previous match. With a win and a loss each to their name, they are placed at the fourth spot on the points table and will be looking to make a move on. They have played only two matches in the tournament so far and have the time to climb the ladder.

The Gallopers started their campaign with a dismal performance against Desert Riders in the match wherein their batting fell like a pack of cards, leaving Riders a total of just 94 runs to chase down. The Gallopers were a lot better in their next match, against Falcon Hunters. Kamran Akmal and Zaheer Imrahim proved their worth as they put together 46 runs for the first wicket. Although they struggled to finish their innings with a flourish, they still managed to put 116 runs on the board, the score which proved just enough for the Hunters.

While it wasn't easy to defend a total of 116, Gallopers' bowlers ensured that they get get two important points. Mughees Bajwa and Zain Uddin were brilliant upfront as they pocketed three quick wickets. The Gallopers had Falcon Hunters tottering at 3 for 5 in the space of just 9 deliveries. It was always going to be a steep climb for the Falcons thereafter and it didn't happen to be any different. KG Wimalashantha dismissed Mohammad Rizlan to punch the final nail in the coffin as Gallopers won the match by six runs and bagged two important points.

PG vs SG Betting Tips

Slowly but steadily, we are progressing towards the business end of the tournament and its high time that the two teams get a move on. Swift Gallopers exhibited brilliant performance in their last game whereas Pearl Gladiators' match was washed out due to rain. On paper, the Gladiators lack experience and that was apparent in their first encounter as well. With the likes of Kamran Akmal, Zaheer Ibrahim, and Mughees Bajwa in fine form, the Gallopers go in as firm favorites to win the upcoming encounter.
