The big advantage that the Royals have in their favor is that they are playing in familiar conditions. We think the Paarl bowling attack could uncover some serious cracks in the MI Cape Town batting lineup.

For the first time in SA 20 2023, we saw MI Cape Town play its full-strength bowling lineup. That meant Jofra Archer., Kagiso Rabada, Sam Curran, and Rashid Khan were all in the team. They seemed to have done enough to get the win against the Sunrisers but a stunning assault from Marco Jansen left them unable to get over the line.
MI Cape Town has some serious problems that it needs to get past. Its batting lineup has not performed well and with Dewald Brevis going through a lean patch, it could be under pressure coming into this match. Brevis is very good against spin and his wicket is going to be very crucial to the outcome of this match.
Ryan Rickelton, Grant Roelofsen, and Rassie van der Dussen have had a couple of good innings but nothing that screams brilliance or them being in top form. It is also important to note that Paarl has been a low-scoring venue where the spinners have had the most success.
MI Cape Town's bowling attack is quite dependent on its fast bowlers and its leading spinner is having a poor tournament by his standards.
