Mohammad Rizwan is in great touch but we think he is due for a failure.

The Quetta Gladiators will now be required to play two matches in succession as their match against Islamabad United was postponed by a day because of one of the players testing positive for COVID-19. We do not know the outcome of that match at the time of writing.
This match against the Multan Sultans is going to be their second match in two days. Quetta has had a tough start to the PSL with three losses from three matches. They have put in some good performances but not been able to convert any of them into a victory so far.
The Multan Sultans have not been much better. They have won just one match out of the four they have played and are near the bottom of the PSL 2021 standings. The outcome of this match is very important for both teams.
Quetta Gladiators vs Multan Sultans PSL 2021 is going to be played at the National Stadium, Karachi on the 3rd of March 2021.
The Quetta Gladiators are led by Sarfaraz Ahmed, one of the most polarizing figures in Pakistan cricket. There are people that love him for the kind of success he achieved during the first stint of his captaincy and there are others that just don’t see him as a good enough batsman anymore.
Sarfaraz Ahmed has now played two astonishingly good innings to shut up his detractors. His 81 from 40 balls was brilliant to watch and helped his team reach 198. Azam Khan and Faf du Plessis also played quite well in that match.
We feel certain that Cameron Deloprt will make way for Chris Gayle whenever the big man is available and Dale Steyn is going to be under pressure as well. Gayle is in excellent form and will add to the strength of the team immediately. With him in the team, the batting lineup is very strong indeed.
The bowling has been quite disappointing from Quetta. They have crumbled under pressure and given away too many loose deliveries at the wrong time. Usman Shinwari, Dale Steyn, and even Mohammad Hasnain all went the distance and bowled quite poorly.
This is an area where the Quetta Gladiators need to improve rapidly. It will also be good to see them actually hold some catches in the PSL!

Leading the Multan Sultans is the most in-form batsman of Pakistan right now: Mohammad Rizwan. He has 231 runs in just four innings and seems to just carry on his good batting form. Maybe the only criticism of Rizwan would be a lack of sixes when he is set but that is really being nitpicky.
It was good to see Chris Lynn strike the ball cleanly and get some runs as well. WIth James Vince, Rilee Rossouw, and Sohaib Maqsood in the lineup, the Multan Sultans are as strong if not stronger than the Quetta Gladiators.
They have a clear edge in the bowling department, though. Sohail Khan has been very good with the new ball getting it to swing away consistently while Shahnawaz Dhani is an absolute superstar. The 19-year-old bowls at close to 145kmph consistently and picks up important wickets in every match.
Carlos Brathwaite has been in good form and Usma Qadir is Pakistan’s first-choice leg-spinner at the moment. All of this gives a massive advantage to the Multan Sultans over the Quetta Gladiators.

The toss is all-important. We have not seen a single team lose after winning the toss and so make sure this is taken into account while placing your bet. The chasing team has a huge advantage over the side batting first.

The conditions in Karachi have been stellar for batting and that is all thanks to the groundsman. The pitches prepared have been flat, even-paced, and very good for playing through the line. The conditions actually become better after the lights come on and the dew sets in. It is very difficult for the bowlers to bowl with a wet ball and we have seen several errors in the second innings.
A score of around 200 is competitive batting first but it really appears as if something close to 210 will be needed for a side to win batting first.
We are backing the Multan Sultans in this contest. The Quetta Gladiators will be more dangerous if they have Chris Gayle available but even with him in there, we think their bowling is a bit too wayward and inconsistent for our liking.
The Multan Sultans have a well-balanced team and should be able to pull this one off.
Bet on the Multan Sultans to win.
