The Qalandars are the only unbeaten team of the Abu Dhabi T10 with an impressive five wins from five matches. They are going to be taking on the Delhi Bulls next, another strong team that has lost just one match so far.
Both these teams are all but guaranteed to be a part of the playoffs and so we could very well see this contest once again in the near future.
Will the Qalandars manage to continue their winning streak or will the Delhi Bulls make a jump towards the top of the table standings?
Qalandars vs Delhi Bulls T10 2021 is going to be played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi on the 4th of February 2021.
The normally strong batting lineup of the Qalandars stumbled a bit against the Bengal Tigers but still managed to come away the winner. Tom Banton was out for a duck and Sharjeel Khan never got going.
Sohail Akhtar batted well and Ben Dunk got some hits away as well, but neither of them was scoring about a strike rate of 200, considered to be the absolute minimum in this format.
The Qalandars will not be bothered about a batsman missing out but they will not like the slow strike-rate. This format is not about conserving your wickets for later but is instead all about scoring quickly from the first ball.
With Samit Patel, Shahid Afridi, Chris Jordan in the middle-order as well, the Qalandars can afford to be more adventurous and we expect them to be back at their best in the next game.
The bowling was excellent under pressure and managed to defend a small total. Chris Jordan showed just why he is regarded as one of the best death bowlers of the world as he gave away just 11 runs in his two overs.
The quality in the bowling is better than what most teams have.
Ben Dunk, Tom Banton, Sohail Akhtar, Sharjeel Khan, Ali Khan, Samit Patel, Chris Jordan, Sultan Ahmed, Sohail Tanvir, Danial Asif Ahmed, Mohammad Zahid.
The Delhi Bulls have been very effective with the ball in the previous few matches. Ali Khan has been picking up wickets and not going for runs either. He had three wickets without giving any runs in the only five balls he bowled in the previous match!
Fidel Edwards, Amad Butt, and Dwayne Bravo have been doing pretty well also. This is a bowling attack that is going to be more effective as the pitch starts slowing up and we already beginning to see proof of that.
Delhi’s batting is strong enough to give the Qalandars a run for their money.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Evin Lewis, Sherfane Rutherford, Ravi Bopara, and Mohammad Nabi are all excellent strikers of the ball. They are also in good form.
Just one of these batsmen needs to have a good game to be able to get the Delhi Bulls to a winning total.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Evin Lewis, RS Bopara, TB Abell, Sherfane Rutherford, Mohammad Nabi, Dwayne Bravo, Waqas Maqsood, FH Edwards, Shiraz Ahmed, Nyeem Young.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to field first. That is a huge advantage in this format and both teams would love to have it.

The pitch has gotten quite a bit slower in recent matches. The ball is stopping a bit and the short balls are just not reaching the batsmen with any pace. There are still a lot of runs going to be scored but it is going to be more difficult for the lower-order batters and bowlers that have a good change of pace should do quite well.
There is not too much of a difference between the two teams in terms of strength. We think the match-ups will be able to tell the story. Looking at the batting and bowling lineups, we think the Delhi Bulls bowling has a better chance of containing the Qalandars batting than the other way round.
This could be the match where the Qalandars lose their winning streak.
Bet on the Delhi Bulls to win.
