Another day gone and yet another fantastic result for Qalandars. Just as Abu Dhabi T10 League is picking up pace, Qalandars are exhibiting their class. They'll be up against Deccan Gladiators in the upcoming match, which is to be played at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi on 31st January 2021. The Gladiators bounced back after an embarrassing loss and will be looking to get on a winning streak. Both sides now have some momentum and a cracker of a contest is certainly on the cards.
Qalandars have not only been the best team of their group but also the tournament and their position on the points table reflects that. As it stands, Qalandars have four points to their name along with a terrific net run-rate of 3.327. Their NRR is evidence enough that demonstrates how dominating the Qalandars have been.
Qalandars scored their first points with a massive win over Pune Devils as they won the match with 17 balls to spare. While it took them a little longer to register a win against Team Abu Dhabi in the subsequent match, their win was as dominating as the preceding one. The major reason of Qalandars' dominating performance has so far been their top-order batsmen, who together have carted bowlers of all teams around. Tom Banton, Sharjeel Khan, and Sohail Akhtar have done incredibly well and do not appear to be stopping anytime soon. Apart from them, they have a potent middle-order as well that too can tonk the bowlers around.
With the ball, the likes of Sohail Tanvir, Chris Jordan, and Shahid Afridi have so far ensured that the Qalandars do not have a tall total to chase down. They are rich in experience and hitting against all these bowlers consistently is not going to be easy for Deccan Gladiators in this upcoming match. All in all, the Qalandars appear to be on a roll, and stopping them will need a solid effort from any team in the tournament.

Deccan Gladiators got off to a rather tame start to the tournament as they lost their first match to Pune Devils in a rather anti-climactic fashion. The Gladiators appeared under-prepared in the first match as they lost their top-order without too many runs on the board. That was surprising considering the top-order batsmen that the Gladiators have.
The Gladiators did not repeat the same mistake again as they rampaged past Team Abu Dhabi with six wickets in hand and two balls to spare. Cameron Delport, Mohammad Shahzad, and Kieron Pollard all contributed with their brief cameos and that is all that was required. Having said that, the Gladiators will need a lot more than cameos from their stars in this upcoming match. Kieron Pollard hasn't looked at his best and his form is certainly a concern for the Gladiators.
With the ball, the Gladiators have done better than they have done with the bat, and understandably so. They have a fantastic bowling unit that contains three frontline spinners who all are capable of using Abu Dhabi's surface to their advantage. Zahoor Khan, Sunil Narine, and Imran Tahir have all been difficult to hit and the onus will be on these three to take Gladiators home in this upcoming match. If they contribute well, a win will be there for the taking for Deccan Gladiators.
Kieron Pollard, M Shahzad, C Delport, Azam Khan, SP Narine, Anwar Ali, Sharafuddin Ashraf, Imtiaz Ahmed, Zahoor Khan, Imran Tahir, Ravi Rampaul.
Considering the lineups that the two sides have, this match is likely to be an exciting spectacle between the batting of Qalandars and the bowling of Gladiators. Going by the performance of the two sides, Qalandars certainly seem ahead. Having said that, the Gladiators' have underperformed with the bat so far and with Kieron Pollard in their batting, they cannot be taken lightly. Considering that and the bowling attack they have, we believe betting on a Gladiators' win should be the way to go here.
