QSL vs NSW Team Previews
Queensland
Queensland were recently demolished by Victoria in the SS, but there’s still loads of talent on the QL roster. Burns and Peirson have been disappointing as batters lately, with Peirson especially bad after scoring just six overall runs against the Vics.
QL should look to Bryant and Street for scoring runs, as Street is averaging 36.15 in the Sheffield Shield and even had 83 against WA in 2022.
For bowling, QL has no excuse to play badly, as Neser, Steketee, and Bartlett are all first-class bowlers capable of inflicting heavy damage on the NSW batters. These three took 16 wickets combined in the two innings against Victoria, which goes to show how effective they are when in form.
Queensland Playing 11
Aryan Jain, Bryce Street, Jack Clayton, Jack Sinfield, Joe Burns, Jimmy Peirson, Jack Wildermuth, Max Bryant, Michael Neser, Mark Steketee, Xavier Bartlett.
New South Wales
NSW haven’t had a single win in the SS this season, and their promising match against Tasmania ended in a draw.
Daniel Hughes is the danger man here in terms of batting, as he’s averaging 38.20 in the SS and recently scored a huge 178 & 63* in the Tasmania draw. The QL bowlers will have to be extra careful when he’s at the crease. Patterson is also one to watch, as even though his recent scores aren’t huge, he’s a lethal batter.
Zampa has been left off the squad, which means a lot of the bowling burden will fall on Abbott and Tremain. These two can handle it well enough, and Abbott especially is capable of taking at least three wickets per match, but we worry that the other NSW bowlers aren’t up to the task.
New South Wales Playing 11
Ben Dwarshuis, Blake Nikitaras, Chris Green, Hayden Kerr, Chris Tremain, Daniel Hughes, Jason Sangha, Kurtis Patterson, Matthew Gilkes, Moises Henriques, Sean Abbott.

QSL vs NSW Betting Tips
Despite NSW not having a win this season, they are still marked as the favourite in this match. The Betway odds suggest that choosing QL is a better choice and will get you a more enticing return.
The great bowling lineup of Neser, Steketee, and Bartlett is combined with a formidable batting squad of Bryant and Street for Queensland. We’d like Burns and Peirson to have a good match, as they’ve struggled lately. Plus, the home Brisbane pitch should help this QL team.
Bet on Queensland to win.
Bonus Cricket Bets
Look for him to be more aggressive in his shot selection.
A fantastic batter, but will the rest of the line-up perform?
Neser is always great, but Steketee is due for a huge bowling effort in this match.
Hard to ignore this bowler's great form lately.
