QSL vs SAC Match Prediction - Mar 23, 2021

It's a rather quiet period in Australia as far as international cricket is concerned, but Cricket things are happening at a frantic pace as far as domestic cricket is concerned. With New South Wales losing their match, the Sheffield Shield points table is beginning to take up a terrific shape and we have an interesting next round at our hands. The next match in the tournament is set to be played between Queensland and South Australia Redbacks at the Ian Healy Oval, Brisbane on 23rd March 2021.

QSL vs SAC Team Previews

Queensland

The recent loss for New South Wales could turn out to be advantageous for Queensland as they can now maintain their top-of-the-table position with considerable ease. Up until now, Queensland have registered three wins up until now and consequently have 29.84 points to their name.

Queensland had an excellent start to the tournament, but a couple of draws in the last two matches has certainly acted as a speed breaker. They could consider themselves a tad unlucky as both of their last two matches were washed out due to rain. Before that, however, they racked consecutive wins and will be brimming with confidence.

On paper, Queensland have a terrific team that oozes class and experience. At the top, they have the likes of Joe Burns, Marnus Labuschagne, and Usman Khawaja. With multiple versatile all-rounders available, their middle-order is terrific as well. Their bowling appears to be a little inexperienced as compared to other teams and that may become a factor if their batsmen do not perform. Queensland's fortunes will rest with their batsmen and their all-rounders, and if they do well, beating them is going to be extremely difficult.

South Australia Redbacks

South Australia Redbacks have so far had a dismal run in the tournament so far and their position on the points table reflects that. In the six matches done so far, they haven't won any. They have shown a few glimpses of brilliance, but those have been too far and too few. Going forward, they'd need to make sure those glimpses are bigger and sustained.

In their last match, the Redbacks did pretty well with the bat, but the premature declaration cost them the match. In the second innings, they declared with 178 for 6 on the board, leaving a target of 298 runs for New South Wales. South Australia's bowling could not live up to the expectations and pressure as they managed to pick up just four wickets in the last innings of the match.

South Australia's team is pretty much dominated by some aggressive player by nature in the middle-order. With Travis Head and Alex Carey available, there's no shortage of experience and much to their delight, the duo have been in terrific form. Their bowling, however, is a little too inexperienced and lacks sharpness, which was apparent in the previous match as well. They would need their bowlers to play of their skins against a potent batting lineup of Queensland. If they can do that, Queensland will have their work cut out.

QSL vs SAC Betting Tips

This is a contest between two sides that are rich in batting stocks but no so much in the bowling department. Bowling is not going to be an easy job in this match and the team that bowls well will likely emerge on top. Given the lineups of the two sides, it is apparent that Queensland have more experience and more variety available. For that reason, betting on a Queensland win should be the way to go in this match.
