About the Match
After winning the PSL opening match against Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators will take on Karachi Kings in the 4th match of the series at Dubai on 6th February. With 2 points on board, Quetta will be eager to carry on its winning momentum; Karachi Kings on the other hand has a strong line-up of experienced players who will leave no stone unturned to win their opener. The upcoming match will surely be an entertaining contest and the team that can keep a cool head above its shoulders will be better placed to emerge victorious.
The Gladiators successfully chased 129 runs to win the opening game of the series against United on Thursday; Luke Wright’s amazing 86 off 53 helped them build a strong foundation and he remained unbeaten to score the winning runs. Mohammad Nawaz put up a spectacular performance with the ball as he claimed 4-13 and also scored 22 runs to help the team win the match with ease with 4 overs to spare.
They have a good bowling unit with players like Zulfiqar Babar, Anwar Ali and Umar Gul, who took a wicket each in the first match; Mohammad Nabi is a very effective all-rounder and along with others like Akbar-ur-Rehman who can put up an economical spell and Chigumbura who provides variety to the attack, Gladiators look confident to repeat their winning performance on Saturday.
The batting line-up is strong with experienced players like Luke Wright, Ahmed Shehzad, Kevin Pietersen and Sarfraz Ahmed in good form; they need to come out all guns blazing whether batting first or during chase in order to maintain the lead on the points table.
Shoaib Malik will lead the team and bring his all-rounder skills to the table; he has been in good form with the bat and provides depth to the batting line-up that consists of players like Lendl Simmons, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Tillakaratne Dilshan and Ravi Bopara.
