The IPL Playoffs 2021 have started and it has been noted that teams playing the Eliminator have gone on to win the IPL more than those that have qualified for the Qualifier 1. Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders are the two teams that will be playing the Eliminator this season.
RCB and KKR have played against each other twice in IPL 2021 with each team winning one. That win for KKR was the first in five matches against RCB, however, it still holds a 16-13 lead in total head-to-head matches between them.
The venue for this match is Sharjah, usually one of the highest-scoring grounds but the most difficult one to score runs at in this season of the IPL. The pitches have been slow, helpful for the spinners, and the short boundaries have not really mattered.
Match prediction and cricket betting tips for RCB vs KKR Eliminator IPL 2021. The match is going to be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah on the 11th of October 2021.
RCB is once again in the IPL playoffs, for the second year running, and would be hoping to press for its first title. The biggest advantage that RCB has had in comparison to previous years has been the performances of its Indian players. Devdutt Padikkal, KS Bharat, and Shahbaz Ahmed have been instrumental in winning matches throughout the season.
This takes the pressure off of Virat Kohli, who is going through a prolonged lean run, and AB de Villiers, who has struggled to make an impact in the second half of IPL 2021. The highest scorer for Glenn Maxwell who is making a massive impact in almost every match that he plays.
The biggest strength is the six-hitting ability and the sheer genius that is present in the batting lineup. The danger has to be playing in slow and spin-friendly conditions where RCB has struggled in the past.
RCB’s bowling has been quite good as Yuzvendra Chahal has found form, Mohammad Siraj is doing well, and Harshal Patel is in the form of his life. RCB is not going to be easy to score against but we do think Chahal and Siraj could struggle against the KKR batting lineup.
V Kohli, Devdutt Padikal, KS Bharat, AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell, Shahbaz Ahmed, DT Christian, George Garton, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, YS Chahal.
Lockie Ferguson made a comeback into the team for KKR in its previous match and made an immediate impact. All eyes will be on Andre Russell as KKR moves into this knockout phase of IPL and there is a very good chance that he will be playing this match as well.
KKR is a team that has managed to turn things around quite spectacularly after a poor start. Like RCB, its Indian players have done very well. Shubman Gill, Rahul Tripathi, Venkatesh Iyer, and even Nitish Rana have all batted with purpose and managed to get to big totals.
Eoin Morgan, Shakib Al Hasan, and Sunil Narine add batting depth to the lineup. KKR should have enough power to get past RCB in most matches.
KKR’s spin-bowling attack is going to be its biggest strength in this match. Shakib Al Hasan, Sunil Narine, and Varun Chakravarthy will make scoring in the middle overs very tough. This is where the difference between winning and losing could be made.
Shubman Gill, Venkatesh Iyer, Nitish Rana, RA Tripathi, Eoin Morgan, Dinesh Karthik, Shakib Al Hasan, SP Narine, Lockie Ferguson, Varun Chakravarthy, Shivam Mavi.
KKR won the previous match by 86 runs in Sharjah after batting first. It may choose to do the same once more and we think RCB would prefer batting first as well if it gets the option. The team that wins the toss is likely to want to bat first.

There is no threat of rain around but it will be very interesting to see how the pitch behaves. We saw 171 scored by KKR in the previous match it played at Sharjah but the pitch was not significantly better than the ones we have seen there earlier. A slow surface where run-scoring is going to be difficult and the boundaries hard to come by is likely.
We think something around 160 could be match-winning everything considered.

We are going to bet on the Kolkata Knight Riders to win this match. They have a stronger bowling attack and a batting lineup that is very deep. The potential return of Andre Russell is also hard to ignore and will add a lot to the team as well. RCB’s struggles in slow conditions could come back to haunt it and we think its dependence on Glenn Maxwell is going to be a problem.
Bet on the Kolkata Knight Riders to win.
There were 11 sixes in the previous match even when Rajasthan Royals were bowled out for 85. There are many more prolific six-hitters playing this match and we think there is a good chance that we will see 12 or more sixes hit in the total match.
Run scoring has been difficult in Sharjah and there have been several matches where no batsman has scored a fifty. use this bet as a hedge against a high-scoring match because the odds on offer are quite brilliant. If the total scores hover around 130-140, we could have easily have another match where no one gets a fifty.
Maxwell has been in tremendous form for RCB this season. He has scored 498 runs at an average of 45.27 and a strike rate of 147.34. He also has six fifties, the most in IPL 2021. To be able to get odds of nearly 5x on him is a great deal and one that is worth a punt for sure.
