Royal Challengers Bangalore Women

The Royal Challengers have a star-studded batting line-up and the team will be banking on them to bulldoze through the opposition bowling attack.

Smriti Mandhana and Ellyse Perry are two of the most well-known faces in Women’s cricket, and the idea of both of them pairing up on the field already has the fans salivating. The batting department is further strengthened with the presence of New Zealand splitter Sophie Devine, as well as England Women’s captain Heather Knight, both of whom had a good time in the recently concluded Women’s T20 World Cup.

The Delhi Capitals had a smart strategy at the auction and seem to have formed a well-balanced pool of players to choose from.

Jemimah Rodrigues is the most expensive buy for the team from the auctions and will be banking on her for scoring some big runs in the tournament. However, it is Meg Lanning who can emerge as the pivotal player for the Delhi Capitals this season.

She led Australia during their win in the recently concluded ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and will lead the Capitals this season. Alice Capsey is another batter to watch out for, as she is pretty solid in the middle order. Marizanne Kapp and Shafali Verma are the two world-class all-rounders on the team.

Both are capable of scoring some quick runs and the team will rely on them to boost them to a big total. The Capitals are the only team to have bought a player from the associate nations, giving them the flexibility of fielding 5 overseas players instead of 4.

Tara Norris has represented the USA in 4 T20Is and gives a left-arm seam option to Lanning. The Capitals also have some good spinners in the team, where Jess Jonassen will lead the attack and will be assisted by Radha Yadav and Poonam Yadav.
