The Rajasthan Royals are on the verge of being knocked out of the running for a place in the IPL 2019 playoffs. They lost their previous game against the Kings XI Punjab due to a combination of poor planning and poor captaincy. They will now be hosting a strong Mumbai Indians side that has climbed to second on the IPL 2019 league table.
The Rajasthan Royals need to win every sing;e one of their matches from here on it to try and qualify. Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, need just two more wins from their remaining five matches to lock up a place in the playoffs.
This match is going to be played in Jaipur at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, a venue which we think could suit the Mumbai Indians very nicely. Can Jaipur find something special to stay alive in this tournament?
It was very frustrating to watch the previous match of the Rajasthan Royals. They are being led by Ajinkya Rahane, a player who is no longer able to play the game at the level he was once able to. This is true for Rahane’s form in every format of the game and in different conditions. There are moments of brilliance but they are far too few to matter.
We have no hesitation in saying that it was his inability to hit the boundaries that lost Rajasthan Royals the previous match. In fact, if Ajinkya Rahane is not opening the batting, does he really deserve a place in the team at all?
It looks unlikely that the new opening combination of Rahul Tripathi and Jos Buttler will be split up after an impressive start in their previous match. Sanju Samson is in good form at number three but there is very little to follow afterward.
Ajinka Rahane is going to continue batting at number four followed by Ashton Turner at number 5. This is pretty much the end of the batting. Jofra Archer is a good striker of the ball but he is not a number 6 batsman just yet. Stuart Binny and Shreyas Gopal can both bat but neither of them is dependable at this point in time.
Binny played an excellent cameo in the previous match and maybe could be tried at number three to give the run-rate a boost.
Ish Sodhi was very good in his previous match but the Rajasthan Royals may look to replace him and add some batting to the playing eleven.
As things stand now, the Rajasthan Royals have a weak squad that is led by a struggling captain who is not able to utilize the available resources to their maximum. This is not a good state to be in while getting ready to play the Mumbai Indians.
Ajinkya Rahane, SV Samson, Steven Smith, AJ Turner, BA Stokes, Riyan Parag, Jofra Chioke Archer, STR Binny, S Gopal, JD Unadkat, DS Kulkarni.
An excellent win away from home against the Delhi Capitals gave the Mumbai Indians their sixth win this season. They are now a clear second on the IPL 2019 league table and in a very good position to try and confirm a playoff spot.
The Mumbai Indians are a good batting side. They have plenty of batsmen that are able to strike the ball cleanly and get their runs at a fast rate. The batting surface in Jaipur should suit them. This is why we are looking at Rohit Sharma to make a big impact in the upcoming match.
Rohit Sharma has not been in the best form this IPL. He is getting starts but is not able to convert them into big scores. The bowling he is going to face against the Rajasthan Royals is not very threatening and the pitch should his style of batting as well.
He could be a good player to watch out for. An interesting thing is also happening in the Mumbai Indians side. The good form of Hardik Pandya and the lack of will to send Kieron Pollard up the order has made the West Indian redundant.
The team management prefers to send Krunal Pandya up the order when early wickets are lost or Hardik Pandya when the end of the inning is approaching. This means that Kieron Pollard is not a good candidate to bet on right now to get too many runs.
The Mumbai Indians have found an excellent leg-spin option in Rahul Chahar. He took three wickets in the previous match and led them to victory. With Jasprit Bumrah, Lasith Malinga, and the two Pandya brothers in the side as well, it is going to be hard for the Rajasthan Royals to stop them.
Ben Cutting played the previous match and we hope that he gets another chance because he is one of the most underrated cricketers in this league and could throw up a surprise.
Rohit Sharma, Quinton de Kock, SA Yadav, Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Ben Cutting, Rahul Chahar, Mayank Markande, Lasith Malinga, JJ Bumrah.
The team winning the toss likely to want to bat second. Chasing has been the trend in IPL 2019 and the past record at the ground also favors the chasing side.

RR vs MI IPL 2019 is going to be played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. The weather is going to be clear and sunny during the match day. This is a 4:00 PM start so dew is not going to be a factor. Generally, though, the ball seems to come on better under the lights.
The pitch at Jaipur has been excellent for batting. It allows the batsmen to hit the ball through the line and the outfield is very fast as well. The boundaries are pretty large and so the spinners also have a big role to play.
We expect a high-scoring match between these two sides.
The match between the Rajasthan Royals and the Mumbai Indians could be a high-scoring one and this is why the batsmen have to be the focus in this Dream11 lineup.
Wicketkeeper: We have the option of choosing between Quinton de Kock and Sanju Samson. The safe option here seems to be Quinton de Kock, considering his recent form, but choosing Sanju Samson to try and differentiate your side is not a bad option either.
Batsmen: Rohit Sharma has not been as productive as he usually is but he loves batting in Jaipur. He is going to high-owned but you cannot afford not to have him in your side. We have chosen Suryakumar Yadav, Jos Buttler, Rahul Tripathi and Aston Turner in our side as the other batsmen. This will give us the likely top-3 players in both sides apart from Sanju Samson. We also think that Ashton Turner is an excellent batsman and could have a big impact if he gets set. His ability to score sixes is invaluable in Dream 11 point scoring.
All-rounders: Leaving out Hardik Pandya is a very risky move and so we have decided to include him in the lineup. The other all-rounder is Stuart Binny. This is a high-risk move because he usually bats very low down the order. Hopefully, his good batting in the previous match earns him a promotion.
Bowlers: We have room for three bowlers and we have picked Rahul Chahar, Shreyas Gopal, and Jofra Archer in the side. These three are economical bowlers and could end up with some wickets to their name. All three of them are in good form and apart from Chahar, can contribute with the bat as well.
Captain and Vice-Captain: We have decided to pick Rohit Sharma as our captain and Hardik Pandya as the vice-captain in this match.

Rajasthan Royals have beaten the Mumbai Indians in four of the last five times that have met against each other, including earlier in this tournament. They have some good players with the advantage of home conditions but we don’t think they are in a good place as a team right now. Mumbai Indians have the stronger batting and the better bowling side. They should be able to win this.
Back the Mumbai Indians to win.
