RR vs RCB Match Prediction & Betting Tips - May 27, 2022

The Rajasthan Royals played pretty well in Qualifier 1 of IPL 2022 and scored 188 but it was not enough for them against a strong Gujarat Titans match. As a result, they are now going to have to play the Qualifier 2 against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
RCB rode a magnificent century from Rajat Patidar to pip LSG by 14 runs in another high-scoring contest. Four wins in its previous five matches have given RCB some great momentum heading into this match and it could be very tough to beat.
RCB has won four out of the previous matches it has played against RR but it did lose the one match they played earlier in the IPL 2022 group stages.
RCB is the favorite at all the best IPL betting sites right now. Is there a betting opportunity to be exploited by betting on the underdog? What do the stats say? Let us take a deeper look.
Match prediction and IPL betting tips for RR vs RCB Qualifier 2 IPL 2022. The match is going to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on the 27th of May 2022.

RR vs RCB Team Previews
Rajasthan Royals
RR did not play its best cricket in Qualifier 1 but it still managed to put up a formidable fight. Jos Buttler recovered from a slow start to explode during the final few overs, Sanju Samson played an absolute flyer, and Devdutt Padikkal looked in good form once more but the fluency in the inning was missing.
The lack of batting depth has so far been compensated by Jos Buttler's tremendous batting form but there is no doubt that the team is very vulnerable to a couple of early wickets.
One of the big things in favor of RR so far was its brilliant bowling attack. You can rely on Trent Boult to give you early wickets and on Yuzvendra Chahal to be very difficult to hit during the second half of the bowling stint Both of them had a middling game while Prasidh Krishna and R Ashwin had bad ones.
Obed McCoy looks to be a good fit in this lineup.
It will be interesting to see if RR is tempted to bring in someone like Jimmy Neesham or even Karun Nair to bolster the batting depth and sacrifice some bowling quality in the process.

Royal Challengers Bangalore
RCB was a bit lucky to have won the Eliminator against LSG as a lot of things went its way but there is no doubt that Rajat Patidar played a superlative knock. He was striking the ball brilliantly from the moment he walked in and took all the pressure away from the other batters.
Having someone like Dinesh Karthik, who is basically producing AB de Villiers like knocks, is also a massive advantage.
The concern for RCB will be its top order. There is no doubt about it but in most cases, the longer Virat Kohli spends in the middle, the lower will be RCB's chances of getting to a big total. He once again scored just 25 off 24 while opening the batting and looked out of form.
Faf du Plessis is a big match player and we think he matches up quite well to the RR bowling attack as well. He could be one player to bet on in this match. Rajat Patidar, Mahipal Lomror, and Dinesh Karthik form a strong middle-order with Shahbaz Ahmed and Wanindu Hasaranga all capable of contributing as well if needed.
We don't think there is much difference in the batting strength of the two teams and it will come down to performances on the day.
RCB's bowling attack is pretty exceptional. Wanindu Hasaranga has more wickets in the middle-overs than anyone else in IPL 2022. He is also generally very economical. Then you add Harshal Patel in the death-overs where everyone seems to know what he will bowl but is still unable to hit it!
Josh Hazelwood, Mohammad Siraj, and Shahbaz Ahmed round out a very strong bowling lineup.
RCB would probably prefer to bat without any pressure, get a big score, and then ask its bowlers to do the tough job of defending once more.
Royal Challengers Bangalore Playing 11
Faf du Plessis, V Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell, Mahipal Lomror, Dinesh Karthik, Shahbaz Ahmed, Wanidu Hasaranga, Harshal Patel, Josh Hazlewood, Mohammed Siraj.
RR vs RCB Toss Prediction
The toss is going to be very interesting for this match indeed. We think RR is going to want to chase if it gets the chance while RCB would want to bat first. The last five T20 matches played at this venue have shown that the toss does not play a very big role as three matches were won by the team batting first and two by the team that chased.

Pitch and Conditions
This is going to be the first IPL 2022 match that the Narendra Modi Stadium hosts. We expect a belter of a pitch with pace, bounce, and lots of runs. This was what was served up in the series between India and England that was played here in 2021.
The average match aggregate for runs at this venue is 340 and only 10 wickets have fallen on average in those matches. This indicates a very batting-friendly surface where the top order has done well so far and the bowlers struggled. This should guide our choices in the different betting markets as well as for making our Dream11 team selections.

RR vs RCB Betting Tips
We are going to bet on the Rajasthan Royals to win this match. We think they have the batting firepower and intent that is missing from the RCB camp. The big risk to consider here is the lack of batting depth, however, Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson's tremendous form should be enough to compensate for that. We also think the RCB bowling lineup (especially Harshal Patel) is not going to be as effective at the Narendra Modi Stadium where the ball comes on to the bat nicely.
Bet on the Rajasthan Royals to win.
Bonus Cricket Bets
The odds are a bit short for this bet but we still think this is a good one to consider. RR has been the thirs-best team in the powerplay during IPL 2022. It has scored an average of 49.1 runs in the first six overs and lost just 1.1 wickets. We think this is a good opportunity to bank a solid ( if not spectacular) win.
We are looking at a longer time frame for this bet because of how the RCB team is constructed. It can get some early boundaries against the new ball but Kohli and du Plessis are unlikely to continue at a very high tempo. Also most of the finishing kick comes from the end and so betting against RCB for the first third of play makes sense to us.
This is one of the bets that we are most bullish about. Teams have hit more sixes in IPL 2022 than ever before and there is a clear trend towards trying to clear the boundaries at all stages of the game. With Buttler, Samson, Hetmyer, du Plessis, Maxwell, and other fantastic strikers, we are surely going with Over 13.5 sixes in this one
