Two wins in two matches have handed England the T20 series and an excellent start to their limited-overs tour. It will be an excellent achievement if they can go three for three and completely blank out South Africa.
The second match was a more comprehensive win for England even though it ended with just one ball to spare. South Africa continues to be good in patches but one feels it needs that little bit of extra to try and get beyond the line.
Can it get a consolation win in the third T20 as perhaps England tries to change a few things up in its team selection?
South Africa vs England 3rd T20 2020 is going to be played at Newlands, Cape Town on the 1st of December 2020.
We have not seen too much of the South African batting prowess in this series as the top-order has continued to struggle and thrown away starts. Quinton de Kock got his side off to a very good start but then got out trying to continue in the same aggressive vein.
Unfortunately for de Kock, he does not have the same kind of batting depth after him as he did at the start of his career and so he must learn to play with a bit more responsibility. Batting is the weak link in this South African team.
There is not enough power in the middle and lower-order to be able to accelerate at the end which puts pressure on the top-order as well. The South Africans tried to attack Adil Rashid and ended up losing three wickets to him. With Paarl offering some spin, another tough examination against Rashid may be in store.
South Africa got its bowling right in the previous match. Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, and Tabraiz Shamsi were very good while George Linde and Lungi Ngidi need a bit of luck going their way. Ngidi, in particular, has been serving up too many loose deliveries and has not been able to sustain the pressure that the other bowlers build up.
With some promising batsmen at the top and a good bowling attack, the South Africans just need one or two things going their way to pull off a win.
Quinton de Kock, Temba Bavuma, Faf du Plessis, RVD Dussen, PJ van Biljon, Reeza Hendricks, George Linde, Anrich Nortje, Lutho Sipamla, Lungi Ngidi, Tabraiz Shamsi.
England won its second T20 as well in conditions that were not particularly suited to it. They are building up very nicely towards the T20 World Cup and a few changes in the playing eleven are expected for the final match.
That does not mean that England will not try to win, far from it, however, it is willing to make a few mistakes in the process of testing its squad depth.
Moeen Ali, Sam Billings, Reece Topley, and Mark Wood could all get a run in this next match. All of them are quality players, though, and so England will remain very competitive.
There are some problems to be addressed, irrespective of the fact that England has won both its matches so far. Jonny Bairstow and Dawid Malan are the only batsmen in form while the others are struggling.
Jos Buttler and Jason Roy have struggled while Ben Stokes has looked good but thrown away his starts.
We are a little hesitant about England in this match because it may choose to rest the players who are in good form and end up shooting itself in the foot.
There is a lot of quality and depth in the squad but the team is beatable for sure.
Jason Roy, Jos Buttler, Dawid Malan, Jonny Bairstow, BA Stokes, Eoin Morgan, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Chris Jordan, Jofra Archer, AU Rashid.
The team that wins the toss may want to bat first. The surface in Paarl was slow and could get slower after such a short turnaround in between the matches.

The pitch offered a lot of help to the spinners in the previous match and the same can be expected in the next one as well. Both teams may look to add another spinner to the team if they can.
146 turned out to be a pretty decent score in the previous match but it was a little short of par. We think 160 is something that teams will be aiming for in this next match batting first.

We are going to go with the home team in this match. South Africa has been competitive without being at its best so far. It could have an opportunity to register a win if England decides to change its team around. The price available on South Africa is also very good at the moment.
Bet on South Africa to win.
Rezza Hendricks is a very good batsman. He has multiple hundreds to his name in the T20 format at the first-class level and bets in the top-3 for South Africa. We think he just needs a little bit of luck to go his way and that a big score is around the corner for him.
The pitch is not very conducive for big-hitting. It was slow in the second T20 and that could only become a bit worse in this next match. The spinners were also pretty effective and getting big hits against them is not going to be easy.
