South Africa

South Africa was without David Miller in its match against Pakistan and the team will be hoping that he is back to full fitness very quickly. No other player has made more of an impact for South Africa in the last few months than David Miller in the middle order. 

It would have been good to see Temba Bavuma get some runs but Quinton de Kock and Rilee Rossouw continue to confound. They keep getting out very early and we are not sure if the shallow batting lineup of South Africa can actually afford to take that many risks first up. 

This lack of depth is unlikely to be a problem against the Netherlands, though. 

Lungi Ngidi has been the pick of the bowlers for South Africa alongside Anrich Nortje. Wayne Parnell has also done quite well. Surprisingly, Kagiso Rabada is the weak link in the bowling attack right now. He and Keshav Maharaj have been expensive and not got the wickets that were expected. 

Netherlands

The Netherlands won their previous match against Zimbabwe. That was a good effort that all but ended Zimbabwe's chances of making it into the semi-final. It was built on the back of a strong bowling performance where almost every bowler from the Netherlands performed well. Fred Klaassen, Paul van Meekeren, Logan van Beek, and Bas de Leede all ended with wickets to their name. 

They will have a tougher time against South Africa but we do think that Paul van Meekeren's form makes him a possible threat in this match as well. 

The lack of batting depth and quality in the Netherlands lineup makes it very hard for them to chase anything that is even par. Every match that they have won in this edition of the T20 World Cup has been one where they have chased or defended a below-par total. 

We don't think its batting is strong enough to compete against the might of the South African bowling lineup.
