South Africa Legends have registered their first win of the Road Safety World Series T20 against the West Indies and now face up against the Sri Lanka Legends. It seemed for the most time that Sri Lanka would get the better of India in the previous match but they somehow managed to lose from a very strong position.
Sri Lanka’s bowling attack has been very effective so far and they would fancy themselves against South Africa. Can the legends from the rainbow nation get their second win a row?
South Africa Legends vs Sri Lanka Legends Road Safety World Series T20 is going to be played at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai on the 13th of March 2020.
A commanding performance against the West Indies Legends showed just why South Africa Legends are going to be a force in this tournament. Paul Harris picked up three wickets, Albie Morkel picked up two, and Johan van der Wath bowled very tightly to limit the West Indies legends to just over 140 runs.
Andrew Hall and Ryan McLaren also bowled a few overs each to underscore the all-round strength of the South African team.
There are a number of options available in this team and all-rounders like Lane Klusner are waiting in the squad as well. The batting was not as good, though, and South Africa lost four wickets very early.
Herschelle Gibbs, Morne van Wyk, Jacques Rudolph, and Martin van Jaarsveld all got out early to leave South Africa 42 or 4 and in real danger of falling short.
Jonty Rhodes and Albie Morkel then steadied the ship and played quite brilliantly. They cleared the boundaries with ease and never looked in any trouble whatsoever. The thing that is impressive, though, is that Ryan McLaren and Andrew Hall were still waiting in the shed.
The depth that South Africa Legends have in their batting is going to be very difficult to match.
The challenge for its batsmen is going to be facing up to the Sri Lankan spinners. That is something that could test the South Africans who are not naturally good players of spin.

The Sri Lanka Legends came up a bit short against India as they tried to defend a below-par total. A brilliant bowling performance from Chaminda Vass almost set up the win but Irfan Pathan managed to win the match for India.
Sri Lanka’s weakness was its batting. Tilkaratne Dilshan and Romesh Kaluwitharana got starts but could not carry on and that theme kept on repeating throughout the inning. Not a single player was able to go beyond 25 even though there were four that went beyond 15.
Sri Lanka must try and find a way to get enough runs to support its bowlers because that will make it a very difficult side to beat.
Sri Lanka’s bowling was very good right until the very end of the inning. Chaminda Vaas could have had both Sachin and Sehwag in the first over itself but Sehwag was dropped by Atapattu. Sachithra Senanayake bowled his four overs for just 19 runs and took one wicket at a time when the Indian batsmen were trying to get after the bowling.
Ranagana Herath was not able to pick up a wicket and Tilakaratne Dilshan went for a lot of runs as well. That let them down a little in the end and Sri Lanka would be hoping to avoid such mistakes against South Africa.
Sri Lanka’s bowling is very good and can easily match up to the South Africans. It is the batting that is a huge concern.

The team that wins the toss is going to want to field first. Three out of the four matches so far have been won by the team batting second and so winning the toss must be seen as a big advantage.

The weather conditions in Mumbai have been very good for cricket and they are not going to change any time soon. The pitch at the DY Patil Stadium is very good for batting and remains so for the entire duration of the match.
The batting actually becomes better once the lights come on and so chasing seems to be a big advantage.
Dream11 tips and Dream11 prediction for South Africa Legends vs Sri Lanka Legends
It appears on the basis of the one match that South Africa has played that it is going to be very hard to beat. Sri Lanka can challenge the South Africans with their spin, especially if Muralitharan is also playing, but its batting is unlikely to improve dramatically.
