The Pakistan women’s tour of South Africa is coming to an end. Only the final T20 match is remaining and while the Pakistan team has fought bravely in a number of matches, it has failed to win a single match so far.
Teams approaching the end of a tough tour are usually exhausted and at the end of their tether. They just want to go back, especially if they have nothing to play for. It is going to be hard for the Pakistan team to put up a fight but that is the nature of the job.
South Africa has been ruthless so far and never let its foot off the pedal. Will they maybe try something a bit different or just get complacent enough to give Pakistan a chance?
South Africa Women vs Pakistan Women 3rd T20 2021 is going to be played at Kingsmead, Durban on the 3rd of February 2021.
Tazmin Brits and Sahbnim Ismail were the standout performers for South Africa in the previous match. While Brits scored 66 opening the batting, Ismail managed to pick up five wickets. It was a complete performance from South Africa and while they would have liked to score more runs, we don’t think they would have felt in danger of losing the match at any time.
South Africa does not have to do anything different. It just has to find a way of motivating itself to be able to come into this match with the maximum possible intensity.
Marizanne Kapp, Sune Luus, Shabnim Ismail, Ayabonga Khaka, and Masabata Klaas form a pretty strong bowling lineup that is going to be able to dominate the Pakistani women on most days.
The batting is also very strong with Lizelle Lee, Tazmin Brits, Marizanne Kapp, Laura Wolvaardt, and Mignon du Preez in the top-order. A couple of early wickets is not going to phase the South Africans at any stage of the match.
In home conditions, this team looks too strong for the Pakistani lineup.
Sune Luus, Mignon du Preez, Shabnim Ismail, Masabata Klaas, Tumi Sekhukhune, Marizanne Kapp, Lara Goodall, Sinalo Jafta, Nondumiso Shangase, Faye Tunnicliffe, Anne Bosch.
Nothing that Pakistan has done has been enough to get it a win. It has pushed South Africa and come close on occasions but this tour remains a massive failure if you look at the results. This last match will be one more opportunity to try something bold and change the script.
We would love to see someone like Aliya Riaz or Nida Dar come up the order. They have been the most effective batters for the team and so they deserve a chance to really set up the inning rather than just to pick up the pieces.
Omaima Sohail, Ayesha Zafar, and Muneeba Ali have failed to take advantage of the chances given to them on this tour and Pakistan must try to make a change.
Anam Amin bowled well in the previous match. She, along with Diana Baig, Nida Dar, and Aliya Riaz form a pretty decent bowling attack. This attack is perhaps the only reason that Pakistan has been able to be competitive on this tour on occasions.
Pakistan could easily have had a couple of wins had the batting performed better but it appears as if it is foolish to wait for that on this tour.
Javeria Khan, Ayesha Zafar, Nida Dar, Aliya Riaz, Kainat Imtiaz, Muneeba Ali, Ayesha Naseem, Diana Baig, Aiman Anwer, Nashra Sandhu, Anam Amin.
The team the toss is going to want to bat first. They would like to set up the game with a strong batting performance and then back their bowlers to defend it.

There is no rain that is forecast in Durban for match day and so we should have an uninterrupted game. As far as the pitch goes, it has been pretty good for batting so far and also offered a bit of extra bounce that the bowlers can utilize. There is no real pace in the wicket, though, and so the runs have not exactly flowed.
We are going to back the South African women in this final match as well. They have been better than Pakistan in every aspect of the game in every match they have played on this tour. The odds being offered are poor but they are as close to a sure thing as you can get.
