Netherlands' win over Ireland in the triangular series has left the table wide open. Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands are now at the table with one win each, and the next match between Scotland and Netherlands will decide which team gets to the final first. The winner of that match will get a confirmed berth in the playoffs, which is what both the sides will be targeting. The game is set to be played at the same venue of the cricket ground at the Village, Dublin. Both of the two completed games in the tri-series have been high-scoring contests, and we expect nothing less from this one as well.
After registering a clinical win over the Netherlands and then losing to Ireland, Scotland are once again up against the team they started their campaign against - the Netherlands. Scotland's batting did a perfect job of racking up a tall total on the board in the earlier encounter between the two teams. Batting first, Scotland hammered over 250 runs batting first with George Munsey scoring a scintillating hundred.
In their next fixture, which was against Ireland, Munsey and Cotzer failed to repeat the same feat as they were restricted to 193 runs total, which too wasn't a low score. Calum MacLeod was their star performer for the day as he smashed a brilliant 42-ball 72.
All in all, their batting is pretty solid on paper and has done exceedingly well so far, but their bowlers have leaked runs and plenty of them. In the first match, their bowlers conceded runs at a pretty high economy rate and the same was the case in the second match as well. Scotland have a well-balanced unit, and if their bowlers can improve their performances, their team will be a force to deal with.
Kyle Coetzer, George Munsey, Michael Leask, Calum MacLeod, Richie Berrington, Ollie Hairs, Matthew Cross, Tom Sole, Alasdair Evans, Adrian Neill, Hamza Tahir.
Netherlands' most recent win in the tournament, over Ireland, was not only surprising but also pretty important in the context of the series. Their victory has kept themselves still in the hunt and consequently the tournament wide open. So far, the men in orange have played two matches and have won one.
Their first match was against Scotland wherein their bowlers conceded one of the highest totals ever in T20 Internationals. Seelar and Co. tried hard to chase it down, but it was too big a total as they fell short by a considerable margin.
In their recent-most match, Netherlands registered a close win over Ireland in a game which had lots of twists. At one stage, Ireland were cruising, but good death bowling by Netherlands' bowlers pulled them back a bit. Just when things looked completely in control for the Netherlands with the bat, George Dockrell picked up three wickets in an over to rock their chances. Ben Cooper held his nerve as he got his side home with five balls to spare.
Pieter Seelaar, Vikramjit Singh, Tobias Visee, Scott Edwards, Clayton Floyd, Paul Van Meekeren, Bas de Leede, Fred Klaassen, Brandon Glover, Max O'Dowd, Ben Cooper.

With T20 World Cup Qualifiers less than a month away, all the remaining matches of the series are of significant importance. Both the sides will be looking to get a win as well as fine-tune their combinations before the ICC event begins. Scotland emerged on top in the last meeting between these two sides and will be more confident of the two sides. They also happen to have a slightly better-balanced team, at least on paper, and are, therefore, our pick to emerge on top in the upcoming fixture.
