Sylhet Sixers

Within a day of being bowled-out for a paltry total of 68, Sylhet Sixers bounced back to not only score a humungous total on a tricky surface but also defeat batting-powerhouse Rangpur Riders without too much fuss.

Perhaps only David Warner's audacious improvisation of batting right-handed against Chris Gayle will make the most of the headlines tomorrow, Das' brilliant strokeplay at the top was what drove Sylhet Sixers to a total which Riders failed to chase. He completed his fifty in just 29 deliveries and played a vital role in the powerplay overs which Sixers ended with 61 for no loss on the board. Their innings was finished well by David Warner who hammered Chris Gayle for 14-runs in an over and that too batting right-handed.

As much as it was the Inception-level improvisation from David Warner, Sixers bowling played a crucial role in getting them two important points. Rana was brilliant in the powerplay overs and dismissed two Rangpur batsmen. Just when the Riders were looking to take the game away from the Sixers with an 89-run stand for the fourth wicket between Rilee Rossouw and Mohammad Mithun, Taskin Ahmed removed the duo in his consecutive overs to deliver the knockout punch. Sixers eventually won the match by a considerable margin of 27 runs.

Dhaka Dynamites

For the first time in five matches, Dhaka Dynamites appeared fallible and were defeated by Rajshahi Kings in a low-scoring contest at Sylhet. In the tournament so far, the Dynamites have scored quite a few huge totals but failed to chase a modest total against Rajshahi Kings in the first game of the day.

Dhaka Dynamites had done incredibly well with both bat and ball going into the match against Rajshahi Kings. While their bowling looked pretty much the same and restricted Kings to a chase-able total of 136, their batting failed to deliver as none of their stalwarts got going including Andre Russell and Shakib Al Hasan.

Sunil Narine, Hazratullah Zazai, and Rony Talukdar all had been in fine form, but they could not come to terms with the changed conditions as they all succumbed to the slowness of the surface. Arafat Sunny was the chief destructor of Dynamites' inner as he picked three wickets for just eight runs.

Earlier with the ball, Sunil Narine played a pivotal role in restricting Kings to a chase-able score. At one stage, the Kings were looking to take the game away from the Dynamites with a 75-run stand between Ayub and Nafees for the second wicket, but the way their bowlers pulled it back was extraordinary. Dynamites conceded just 27 runs in the last five overs which included three important wickets. That, however, proved to be of little significance as the Dynamites finished behind by 21 runs.

SHS vs DDS Betting Tips

The Sixers and the Dynamites have had a contrasting fate in the tournament so far. The Dynamites were invincible at their home ground and the Sixers appeared to be playing on a similar level in their game against the Riders. However, the sheer number and quality of match-winning all-rounders lend unrivaled balance to the Dynamites lineup. Dhaka Dynamites will be better acquainted with Sylhet's surface in the upcoming game which and are expected to better than they did on Wednesday. With a well-balanced lineup and a team full of match-winners, the Dynamites are better placed to win the upcoming fixture and resume their winning juggernaut.
