Nepal gave Zimbabwe a mighty scare but was unable to get the win. That performance showed the increasing quality of Nepal cricket and this is why the Singapore T20 Tri-Series is going to be so exciting to watch.
Now, Nepal takes on the host Singapore, a match that it will definitely hope to win.
Singapore is an associate cricketing nation that is largely made up of expats, semi-professionals, and cricket enthusiasts right now. The experience they gain from this contest is going to be more important than the actual results they achieve.
Singapore vs Nepal T20 2019 is going to be played at the Indian Association Ground, Singapore on the 28th of September 2019.
Singapore has played three T20 matches in 2019 and won all three of them, so the hosts are not going to be coming to this tournament just to make up the numbers. Their most recent win came against Nepal where they bested their Asian neighbors by 82 runs, a massive margin T20 cricket.
Leading the batting for Singapore is going to be Tim David. He is an aggressive batsman who bats at number three. His most recent T20 international inning was one where he scored 77 from just 43 balls against Nepal.
David will need support from other players like R Rohan, S Chandarmohan, and Manpreet Singh to try and get the better of Nepal again.
The batting for Singapore is a bit weak and this is why avoiding early wickets is going to be very crucial for them.
S Vijaykumar, V Baskaran, Janak Prakash, and Amjad Mahboob are going to lead the bowling attack for Singapore. This is a side which has some very motivated players but like most associate sides at this level, does not have the depth to be consistent enough.
Playing in familiar conditions is a big advantage, however.
Manpreet Singh, Tim David, Surendran Chandramohan, Navin Param, Sidhant Singh, Rohan Rangarajan, Janak Prakash, Anantha Krishna, Aryaman Uchil, Vinoth Baskaran, Selladore Vijayakumar.
Nepal played quite well in the first T20 of the series in what turned out be a low-scoring match. Batting first, Nepal could only manage 132 as none of its batsmen were able to get to 50. Dipendra Singh Airee was the highest scorer of the side with 40 to his name.
Paras Khadka, Sundeep Jora, and Binod Bhandari got starts but were not able to capitalize on them. An aggressive 25 not out from Sompal Kami with three sixes included was what helped Nepal reach that total.
The real challenge from Nepal came from its bowling. Sandeep Lamichhane starred with three wickets while the others were tight in their lines as well. Some good fielding also contributed to wickets in the field which made Nepal’s target appear that much more difficult.
Nepal needs to be careful not to depend only on Paras Khadka and Sandeep Lamichhane to win matches because that is not going to happen every time. The other players also need to take responsibility and ensure that they are pulling their weight.
Nepal is the favorite going into this match but it is by no means a foregone conclusion.
B Bhandari, Paras Khadka, Dipendra Singh Airee, Ishan Pandey, Sompal Kami, Aarif Sheikh, Kushal Malla, Sandeep Lamichhane, Karan KC, Abinash Bohara, Sushan Bhari.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to field first because defending can be quite difficult on a small ground

The Indian Association Ground in Singapore is quite small in its dimensions and thus a lot of sixes are hit. The pitch was also pretty decent for batting in the first game. Batsmen will take a bit of time to get used to the pace of the wicket, which is slow, but should be able to score freely after that.
The weather forecast for the match is good and we should not have any interruptions.
Singapore has proven to be a feisty T20 team in the past and has already beaten Nepal this year. That being said, Nepal is the better team in this contest thanks to its bowling attack. We think the visitors are the team to back in this contest.
Bet on Nepal to win.
