A very decent performance by Singapore in the match against Nepal has raised hopes that the host nation may be able to pull off an upset in this tournament (https://www.onlinecricketbetting.net/cricket-betting-tips/sin-vs-nep-28-sep-2019/). After losing to Nepal, Singapore now faces the decidedly tougher task of beating Zimbabwe.
As a team with plenty of experienced players, Zimbabwe would not have been happy with its game against Nepal. Zimbabwe ended up on the winning side but it was given a mighty scare. It would hope to put in a much more professional performance against Singapore.
Singapore vs Zimbabwe T20 match is going to be played at the Indian Association Ground, Singapore on the 29th of September 2019.
Tim David showed just why he is rated so highly in T20 cricket as he smashed 64 not out from 44 deliveries with four sixes. He is going to be the main threat to the Zimbabwe bowlers as well. Surendran CHandramohan stuck around for some time and scored 35 but more was needed from him.
Manpreet Singh got a start and fell while Janak Prakash was able to contribute with some quick runs in the end. Only Rohan Rangarajan missed out in the batting lineup.
These are good signs for Singapore. Almost all of their batsmen seemed to be in form and were playing pretty intelligently. They played out Sandeep Lamichhane without giving him a wicket and also took any scoring opportunities that presented themselves.
The same is expected of them against Zimbabwe.
Where Singapore lost the match was its bowling. Janak Prakash was the only bowlers to escape from the previous match unscathed. Every other bowler was put to the sword and the entire bowling unit could take just one wicket.
Zimbabwe has some dangerous batsmen that could make Singapore pay dearly if they continue to bowl in a similar manner.
Rohan Rangarajan, Surendran Chandramohan, Aritra Dutta, Janak Prakash, Manpreet Singh, Selladore Vijayakumar, Amjad Mahboob, Vinoth Baskaran, Aahan Gopinath Achar, Tim David, Sidhant Singh.
Zimbabwe bowled very well in the opening match against Nepal. Wellington Masakadza, Sean Williams, and Ryan Burl were the most impressive bowlers on the day and the ensured that Zimbabwe had to chase down a small total of 133.
A run-put and some quick wickets meant that Zimbabwe was five wickets down for just 64 runs on the board and facing a potential loss. Thankfully for them, Ryan Burl and Richmond Mutumbami played sensibly and did not allow any further loss of wickets while acing the chase.
Players like Sean Williams and Brian Chari are going to be want to bat much better and take advantage of the small dimensions of the ground. We believe that Zimbabwe has a much stronger batting lineup than Singapore on paper but not bein familiar with the conditions evens things out a bit.
We are backing Sean Williams to be the highest scorer for Zimbabwe in this match and make a big score.
Sean Williams, R Chakabva, Brian Chari, Richmond Mutumbami, Ryan Burl, Neville Madziva, T Maruma, WP Masakadza, Tony Munyonga, CT Mutombodzi, Richard Ngarava.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first

The Indian Association Ground in Singapore (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Association_Ground) has an excellent pitch for batting, as we saw in the previous match. Its dimensions are also very small which makes it very good for batsmen.
Paras Khadka became the first Nepali cricketer to score an international T20 century in the previous match and we would not be surprised if another couple of cricketers got similar big scores in this match as well.
We like to pick top-order batsmen and bowlers that will bowl at the power-play and in the death for T20 matches. Singapore and Zimbabwe are both top-heavy teams so it does not make sense to look for quality down the order.

Singapore has shown the ability to fight and give the other teams in this competition a scare. They have a decent batting lineup but their bowling looks to be quite weak. We think Zimbabwe should easily be able to get past the hosts in this contest.
Bet on Zimbabwe to win.
