Sri Lanka has won the series against Bangladesh with ease and will be looking to inflict a 3-0 result on its Asian neighbor. There has been a lot of animosity between the two teams in recent times and Bangladesh’s rise in cricket seemed to have coincided with a fall in Sri Lankan cricket.
Now, however, there are some very encouraging signs for Sri Lankan cricket and a win in this series will help them gain confidence for tougher tests ahead.
There is not too much to gain for Bangladesh in this match. They have lost the series and seem to be in a hangover after their encouraging performances in the World Cup. A few recurrent mistakes are visible again and the inability of the Bangladesh team to compete against Sri Lanka would be troubling.
Can Bangladesh end with a win to their name?
Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh 3rd ODI is going to be played at the R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on the 31st of July 2019.
We are very excited to see young Sri Lankan batsman, Avishka Fernando come up against some tougher challenges in his cricketing career. He has a natural talent that allows him to play the ball late and time the ball beautifully. A failure in the first ODI was followed by a top-score in the second while shepherding down a chase.
Every other Sri Lankan batsman also scored runs in the previous match too. Kusal Perera made a fluent 30, Kusal Mendis remained not out on 41 while Angelo Mathews was not out on 57 and he looked the most at ease we have seen in a long time.
The Sri Lankan batting is a lot stronger than the Bangladesh one and they are going to be very difficult to stop.
The conditions are also very good for batting in Colombo with the R.Premadasa offering up a completely flat batting surface to the players. We may see a batting re-shuffle in this match since Sri Lanka would like to give all of its batsmen go.
Akila Danajaya and Dhananjay de Silva were the best bowlers for Sri Lanka in the second match. They did not allow the Bangladeshi batsmen to get away and picked up some important wickets as well. We think Isuru Udana will use his cutters more effectively and should pick up more wickets.
Avishka Fernando, Dimuth Karunaratne, Kusal Perera, Kusal Mendis , Angelo Mathews, Shehan Jayasuriya, Dasun Shanaka, Wanidu Hasaranga, Akila Dananjaya, Kasun Rajitha, Lahiru Kumara.
Bangladesh would be very disappointed at the result of this series. Not only did not compete to the best of their abilities but their younger players just did not turn up. Only Mushfiqur Rahim played a lone hand and all the other batsmen lacked application.
How many chances will players like Soumya Sarkar and Mohammad Mithun get before they are made to feel responsible for their results?
It could be a sign of the talent pool not throwing up enough domestic talent to put pressure on the incumbent players. Mahmudullah is a senior Bangladeshi batsman but his extended poor form is just going on and on.
Bangladesh must use this last match to try and shift things around and not use the lack of availability of Shakib as an excuse.
Tamim Iqbal is good at scoring runs in dead rubbers and he is too good a batsman to keep failing on these featherbeds. Sabbir Rahman scored runs in the first match and in good form while we also like Mossadek Hossain at number 7.
None of the Bangladeshi bowlers have been able to keep the Sri Lankan batsmen under check. Mustafizur Rahman has been very expensive and his wickets have come at a time when the batsmen are attacking him rather than through a sustained build-up of pressure.
Taiju Islam was economical in the second match and continues his good showing for the series.
Things are not looking for Bangladesh and they will have to play really well to avoid a whitewash.
Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Mohammad Mithun, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Anamul Haque, Sabbir Rahman, Mehedy Hasan, Shafiul Islam, Taijul Islam, Rubel Hossain.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first

Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh 3rd ODI is going to be played at the R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. There is some rain around on match day but it should stop before the toss. We expect another uninterrupted match to be played out.
The pitch at Colombo has been excellent for batting. 270 is a par score at the surface and even 300 is not something that team will be very confident defending.
Dream11 Prediction for Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh 3rd ODI.
Wicketkeeper: Mushfiqur Rahim and Kusal Perera are two easy options here. both of them are in good form and have scored runs in this series. They bat in the top-order and lead their sides in the batting department.
Batsmen: Tamim Iqbal, Angelo Matthews, Kusal Mendis, Avishka Fernando, and Sabbir Rahman are the batsmen we have chosen from this category. All of these batsmen are top-order players and most of them are in good form. A couple like Tamim and Sabbir are calculated hunches on our part.
All-rounders: Mosaddek Hossain is the player we have picked from this category. His potential remains unfulfilled and he could get a larger role to play in this match.
Bowlers: Mustafizur Rahman, Nuwan Pradeep, and Akila Dananjaya are the three bowlers we like for this match.
Captain and vice-captain: We have selected Avishka Fernando as captain and Tamim Iqbal as vice-captain for our Dream11 picks Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh 3rd ODI.

We think Sri Lanka has found a good set of players to invest in for the future. They should be able to win this match as well on the back of its superior batting lineup. The advantage of playing in home conditions is also apparent.
