The St. Lucia Zouks are going to be playing against the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots in this next CPL T20 2020 match. The Zouks and the Patriots were the two teams that were identified as perhaps the weakest in the Caribbean Premier League this season. As it turns out, the Zouks have done pretty well for themselves so far and have three wins out of five matches.
The Patriots, on the other hand, have just won one out of the four matches they have played and sit in the elimination zone on the points table.
Both teams will be targeting a win in this match and a loss could prove to be quite costly in the long run.
St. Lucia Zouks vs St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots CPL T20 2020 is going to be played at the Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad on the 27th of August 2020.
The Zouks have managed to outrun their batting problems for the most part in this tournament but it caught up with them against TKR. Batting first, the Zouks could only put together 111 for the loss of seven wickets before the rain came down in the 18th over.
Andre Fletcher and Rakheem Cornwall have managed to get the Zouks off to a quick start in most games but have not converted any of those starts into something more substantial. Mark Deyal, Roston Chase, Najibullah Zadran, and Mohammad Nabi make for a dangerous but not overly threatening batting order.
Deyal is new to CPL and still has to prove himself while Chase is not a natural T20 player. Najibullah Zadran would not find himself in the playing eleven under normal circumstances when all the players would be available. That leaves Mohammad Nabi as one of the dangerous players in this lineup.
He can clear the boundaries and has been in decent form in CPL 2020.
He is also an integral part of the bowling lineup alongside Scott Kuggeleijn. The feisty New Zealander is prone to be expensive but has a knack of picking up wickets. With Kesrick Williams, Chemar Holder, Rakheem Cornwall, and Roston Chase, the St. Lucia Zouks do not have a bad bowling attack at all.
ADS Fletcher, N Zadran, DJG Sammy, Mark Deyal, Javelle Glen, Mohammad Nabi, Roston Chase, Rahkeem Cornwall, Scott Kuggeleijn, KOK Williams, Zahir Khan.
The Patriots were chasing a stiff target in their previous match against the Barbados Tridents. Jon-Russ Jaggesar took two wickets with some deceptive finger-spin while Rayad Emrit continued to be economical with the ball. They both were instrumental in keeping the Tridents down to 151.
The Patriots may have found that target difficult to achieve but Evin Lewis provided some true moments of magic as he smashed nine sixes on his way to a match-winning 89. He only fell when the target was just about achieved and thankfully for him, Ben Dunk came in and finished the match off in style.
That victory against the Tridents is down to the individual brilliance of Evin Lewis. He is good against spin and showed just why he is rated so highly even though he is close to 35 now.
Chris Lynn has been a major disappointment for the Patriots and his discomfort against spin continues to haunt him. Joshua Da Silva, Denesh Ramdin, and Ben Dunk make a dangerous lineup but one that could find it difficult to perform at a very high level consistently.
The Patriots do not have a very strong bowling attack. They lack a genuine front-line spinner and the pacers are not really world-beating either.
Denesh Ramdin, Chris Lynn, Evin Lewis, Ben Dunk, Nicholas Kelly, Jahmar Hamilton, S Tanvir, RR Emrit, Alzarri Joseph, Jon-Russ Jaggesar, Imran Khan.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first. The pitch has been damp for the first inning in some previous matches and that gives a big advantage to the team that chases.

The weather forecast for this match is very good and it appears as if we will not have to worry about the rain at all. The pitch at the Queen’s Park Oval has been full of runs and will be better to bat on if there is no rain around.
Scores of around 150-160 have been par batting first. We don’t think that is going to change too dramatically in either direction for this match either.
Dream11 team and Dream11 tips for SLS vs SNP CPL T20 2020
This contest is between two imperfect teams. On paper, the Patriots seem to have a stronger batting lineup but the Zouks have the better bowling lineup. We have also seen so far that the Patriots tend to rely more on individual brilliance while the Zouks are more spread out in terms of getting match-winning performances.
We think the St. Lucia Zouks could pull off another surprise in this one.
Bet on the St. Lucia Zouks to win.
Mohammad Nabi has been terrific form at the CPL so far. He comes in to bat late where he is designated to take advantage of his power game. He also bowls in every single match is definitely going to have a good chance of picking up a wicket. If you think Nabi can continue with his good showing then this is a good bet.
These are the kinds of bets that we like. A lot of unknowns are taken out of the equation since any batsman from any team can help you win this match. In fact, not all of the runs have to come from the bat either. All you need is one over to go for more than 18 runs and you will win. In a T20 match, that is pretty likely.
This man smashed nine sixes in his previous inning and is going to come in with a lot of confidence. The pitch is good for batting and he is going to be batting in the powerplay. If Lewis stays at the crease for any decent amount of time, you are going to get 50% on your investment in no time!
