The final of the Vincy Premier League T10 2020 is going to be played between the Salt Pond Breakers and the La Soufriere Hikers. We like the format of the tournament because it has given the best two teams from the group stages a direct pass to the finals.
This makes it fairer than having a semi-final and giving the teams who may have done much poorer a chance to win the title as well.
Both teams have won seven out of the eight matches they have played. The only match that they have lost is against each other so this contest is between equals. These are the teams that have been the most powerful batting sides of the entire tournament so the fans can expect a brutal slugfest to end the VPL.
Salt Pond Breakers vs La Soufriere Hikers VPL T10 2020 is going to be played at the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex, Kingstown, St Vincent on the 31st of May 2020.
The Salt Pond Breakers boast of what is possibly the strongest batting lineup of the Vincy Premier League. There top-3 of Kadir Nedd, Sunil Ambris, and Urnel Thomas are capable of setting massive totals or chasing them down.
The manner in which these three go is going to be very important for the Salt Pond Breakers, however, there are other batsmen in the side too. Donwell Hector and Rickford Walker are decent batsmen while Benniton Stapleton showed just how powerful he can be with the bat in the previous match as well.
The batting is the Salt Pond Breakers’ biggest strength and we are sure they are going to try and out-bat the La Soufriere Hikers in this match.
Delorn Johnson is the best bowler for the Salt Pond Breakers. He has the capability to try and pick up early wickets and keep the runs tight. Wesrick Strough picked up two wickets in the previous match and Sunil Ambris has been very good with the ball as well.
A well-rounded team overall.
Seon Sween, Kadir Nedd, Rickford Walker, Urnel Thomas, Donwell Hector, Sunil Ambris, Jeremy Layne, Delorn Johnson, Javid Harry, Wesrick Strough, Benniton Stapleton.
If there is any team that can challenge for the title of the best batting team of the tournament then it is the La Soufriere Hikers. They scored 150 in the previous match they played and showed what they are capable of.
The best part was that their best batsman, Desron Maloney, did not even face a single delivery!
Salvan Browne has been a brilliant batsman at the top of the order and scored 70 off just 28 deliveries. Dillon Douglas scored 58 runs from just 18 balls with seven massive sixes in there as well.
The power and the brute force of the La Soufriere Hikers batting are going to be tough for any team to withstand including the Salt Pond Breakers.
The bowling becomes very important when two strong batting teams face each other. Otneil Lewis and Jeremy Haywood have been superb for the La Soufriere Hikers. If these two bowlers are able to get the top-order of the Salt Pond Breakers early then the match could as good as won.
All things considered, the La Soufriere Hikers have a slightly better bowling attack than the Salt Pond Breakers.
Casmus Hackshaw, Camano Cain, Dillon Douglas, Salvan Browne, Desron Maloney, Rayan Williams, Dean Browne, Othneil Lewis, Jeremy Haywood, Kenson Dalzell, Kimson Dalzell.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first.

We have been lucky to get some brilliant weather for the tournament so far and the forecast promises for another lovely day on Finals Day. The pitch has become a bit slower but both these teams have the batsmen to be able to adjust.
The pressure of the final can affect the batsmen but we still think a score of 100 is the minimum either of these teams would like to see on the board.
There have been two previous matches between these two teams and both of them have one each. We think the La Soufriere Hikers are actually peaking at the right time and come into this match with more momentum. They have a slightly better bowling attack and also won the previous match between these two.
Bet on the La Soufriere Hikers to win.
