T20 Mumbai 2019 has got off to an excellent start and most of the matches played have been quite close. The scheduling is not the best, though, and that is why the Shivaji Park Lions are going to be playing their first match of the tournament against ARCS Andheri playing its third match of the tournament.
ARCS Andheri lost its opening match pretty soundly but came back to win an exciting last-ball finish against the NaMo Bandra Blasters. The confidence from that win is going to help it in this match. Shivaji Park Lions are a strong side and feature some big names.
The competition is tough and there are already a few players that are emerging is favorites to attract IPL bids in the next season. We are hopeful of another close match being played out here as well.
The Shivaji Park Lions were the runners-up in the inaugural edition of T20 Mumbai and will be keen on getting their hands across the title in this match. The Shivaji park Lions are one of the few teams that have not opted to focus too much on retaining their side from last year.
They have identified their top-performers and managed to retain them while also adding some good names in the auction. Overall, we think they have put together a good set of players that can definitely challenge for the title once again.
The two biggest names in the side are Siddhesh Lad and Shivam Dube. Lad is known as the player that stands up for the Mumbai Ranji team when everyone else seems to be failing. He has a lot of first-class experience and will be keen to show that T20 cricket is right up his alley as well.
Shivam Dube was the man of the tournament in T20 Mumbai last year and that helped him be one of the most expensive buys of the IPL. His season with the Royal Challengers Bangalore did not go as per plan but we have no doubt that he is going to be better after that experience.
With the presence of Raunaq Sharma, Tanush Kotian, and Shivam Dube in the squad and possible in the playing eleven, the Shivaji Park Lions have a lot of flexibility in their side. All three of these players can contribute I both aspects of the game reliably.
Hardik Tamore seems to be the likely player to take care of the wicketkeeping duties while the bowling will be led by Shivam Malhotra and Vijay Gohil.
Siddhesh Lad, Raunaq Sharma, Hardik Tamore, Rudra Dhanday, Shivam Dube, Sachin Yadav, Vijay Gohil, Swapnil Pradhan, Shivam Malhotra, Siddharth Raut, Tanush Kotian.
The ARCS Andheri managed to pull off a nail-biting win against the NaMo Blasters and will be buoyed by that experience. Having watched that entire match, we don’t feel too optimistic about their chances even after that performance, though.
There were a lot of little things that went their way in that match and in most cases, the ARCS Andheri side would have ended up the losers.
Still, the performance was a huge step-up from their opening match. The biggest difference in their improved performance was the bowling. Tushar Deshpande and Vineet Sinha started well with the new ball.
ARCS abandoned the idea of giving Iqbal Abdulla the new ball and he also did much better in the middle overs. There was more discipline in the entire bowling attack and even though Sujit Nayak came and scored a quickfire fifty for the Blasters, the ARCS would have been happy with their effort.
The batting is where we think the ARCS Andheri side is losing out to the other teams. Akhil Herwadkar played very well for his 56, however, there was a noticeable slowdown in his inning as he grew tired. Kevin Almeida looked all at sea during his stay of 17 runs from ten balls. His strike rate was impressive but it was always just a matter of time before he threw away his wicket.
Shubham Ranjane was the one class player we saw and think he could shine in the upcoming match as well. Runs for Gaurav Jathar and Azhar Ansari came from a number of outside and inside edges. We think the scorecard seems much more flattering for the ARCS Andheri than their performance deserved.
The big advantage that they have against the Shivaji Park Lions is having played a couple of matches together and finding some sort of team balance. Leveraging that into a win might be a bit difficult, though.
Akhil Herwadkar, Sufiyan Shaikh, Kevin Almeida, Shubham Ranjane, Gaurav Jathar, Pankaj Jaswal, Azhar Ansari, I Abdulla, Tushar Deshpande, Salil Avinash Agharkar, Vineet Sinha.
The team winning the toss is likely to want to bat second. The pitch has been slower during the day matches and having a clear target in front helps.

Shivaji Park Lions vs ARCS Andheri T20 Mumbai 2019 match is going to be played at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. This is going to be the seventh match of the season and it is around now that we expect the Wankhede pitch to start becoming slower.
It will still be good for batting but the spinners will start to come into play more and the power hitting will become difficult.
Dream11 team selection for Shivaji Park Lions vs ARCS Andheri requires knowledge about the players and taking some risks on relatively unknown names. These are, however, the kind of matches that we really enjoy. The competition in Dream11 contests is low and good research is usually rewarded! As always, Dream11 allows you make changes after the toss and team announcement so make sure all the players you pick are actually playing that match. We try and get the playing eleven right but it is not always going to happen.
Wicketkeeper: The two real options here are Sufiyan Sheikh and Hardik Tamore. Sheikh opened the batting for ARCS Andheri in the previous match but we have not picked him. We believe Tamore is better priced and will provide better overall value to the side.
Batsmen: Siddhesh Lad, Raunaq Sharma, and Akhil Herwadkar are the three batsmen we have picked. Lad is an experienced first-class cricketer for Mumbai while Herwadkar was the man of the match in his previous outing. Raunaq Sharma is also an exciting batsman to have in the side.
All-rounders: We try and pack the side with a maximum of three all-rounders in such matches. Quality players are rare and it can often be just a few players doing both the bulk of the batting and bowling in these matches. For this Dream 11 team, we have picked Shivam Dube, Tanush Kotian, and Shubham Ranjane. Shivam Dube was the find of the Mumbai Premier League last year and has since added IPL experience to his resume as well. Shubham Ranjane impressed us with his batting in the previous match while Tanush Kotian is an impressive batting all-rounder as well.
Bowlers: Shivam Malhotra and Vijay Gohil are going to be leading the bowling for the Shivaji Park Lions so having them in the side is a safe bet. They are likely to open the bowling and have a few overs left for the death as well. Vineet Sinha was impressive for the ARCS Andheri while Ankur Singh struggled in the previous match. We think he could do better in this upcoming match.
Captain and Vice-Captain: We have picked Shivam Dube as captain and Shubham Ranjane as vice-captain for this match.

We think the Shivaji Park Lions have a better T20 side than ARCS Andheri. The presence of Shivam Dube gives them a power-hitting all-rounder that is lacking in ARCS Andheri. The batting also seems to be less top-heavy in the Shivaji Park Lions when compared to ARCS Andheri.
Bet on the Shivaji Park Lions to win.
