Thanks to a 64-runs dominating win over Rajasthan Royals, CSK move to the top of the table with three wins in four games. While it is still too early to say in the tournament, The Superkings are looking one of the top contenders to qualify for the top-four. Facing them in their next game will be Sunrisers Hyderabad They'll now take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in an away game on 22nd April 2018. Hyderabad, too, have won three games in four matches and will be itching to post a win after an intent-less draw against KXIP in Mohali. Hyderabad has been a fortress for them and it will be interesting to see how they bounce back in this upcoming high-stakes encounter against Chennai Super Kings.

SRH vs CSK Team Previews

Sunrisers Hyderabad

From the beginning and till the very end of the first innings, everything Williamson did against KXIP, it seemed to backfire - such was the prowess of Chris Gayle's innings that day. Ravichandran Ashwin opted to bat first, something which Sunrisers would have asked for, but things quickly went from bad to worse as the bowlers were smacked to all parts of the ground.

They had a steep target of 194-runs to chase on a pitch that Kane Williamson mentioned not to be a free-flowing one in post-match conference and they badly needed Shikhar Dhawan to get them off to a flying start. Short-ball ploy worked beautifully against him as a pacey delivery from Barinder Sran unfortunately injured Dhawan and then caused troubles for Saha and Williamson.

Kane Williamson and Manish Pandey struggled to clear the ropes as the asking rate climbed to a position from where it was almost impossible to win. Shakib Al Hasan did hit some lusty blows but did not prove to be enough. Although there were a few positives for them like Bhuvneshvar's, Kaul's, and Jordan's spell, the intent-less batting from Pandey actually made the target look bigger than it actually was.

Sunrisers have been a team that has relied heavily on their bowling. They've been called as a 150-160 runs team and they certainly have a lot of work to prove their critics wrong.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Playing 11

WP Saha, KS Williamson, YK Pathan, Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Shakib Al Hasan, Ricky Bhui, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan, Billy Stanlake, Siddarth Kaul.

Chennai Super Kings

Battling against all odds, Chennai Super Kings are back to doing what they were once known for - battling it out to stay at the top of the table.

They registered an emphatic win over their arch-rivals Rajasthan Royals in a convincing fashion with Shane Watson scoring a brutal hundred. Suresh Raina came back into the side after a calf-injury and immediately made a mark as weaved a match-winning partnership with Shane Watson before getting out for 46. Sam Billings and MS Dhoni failed to keep the momentum established by Raina and Watson and perished in quest of getting quick runs.

Defending a humongous total, Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur sucked the life out of the chase by picking up three wickets in the first five overs. The bowlers never allowed the chase to pick up as Shane Watson and Dwayne Bravo bowled accurately in the middle overs. Together they picked up three wickets and gave away only 29 in five overs.

Despite being bitten by injuries, CSK have continued to punch above their weight, thanks to some brilliant individual performances. They have quite a few players who are over 30 in age and fitness might come into picture during the latter half of the tournament. The experience is paying off beautifully until now and given the way their players have delivered, it is going to be a hard match for Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday.

SRH vs CSK Toss Prediction

Captains have preferred to chase in the tournament so far and we don't expect it to be different this time as well. Win the toss and field first will be the order of the day at Hyderabad.

Pitch and Conditions

It's a 4:00 pm game and the afternoons are usually very hot in Hyderabad. We might see some assistance for spinners, but it would be a hard track for the bowlers. Batting usually gets a little easier under lights which has encouraged chasing in recent times.

SRH vs CSK Betting Tips

There still hasn't been a news about Shikhar Dhawan's injury and while the extent of his injury is unknown, he is expected to be fit to play on Sunday. Raina's comeback has strengthened CSK batting lineup and a weak-on-paper pace department has done remarkably well until now. Sunrisers appeared to lack a strong hitter in their batting lineup with Yusuf Pathan not amongst the runs and Manish Pandey a slow starter. CSK have been one of the most consistent teams in the tournament and with the current form, and above-mentioned reasons, they are more likely to win the Sunday's game.
