IPL 2020 has been the most closely contested season so far. We have now reached the final group match of the season and there are still placed to be filled in the IPL playoffs. The final group match is going to be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Mumbai Indians.
SRH has won three out of its last four matches and been able to improve its net run-rate significantly. As a result, it just has to win this match to qualify for the playoffs. The margin of victory does not matter.
The Mumbai Indians have already made the playoffs and are assured of a top-2 finish. There is not too much to play for in that respect. We may see Rohit Sharma return from injury (unlikely) or perhaps one of the fast-bowlers rested but the Mumbai Indians will want to continue their winning run.
SRH vs MI IPL 2020 is going to be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah on the 3rd of November 2020.
Momentum is a word that is used pretty commonly in cricket but that is exactly what SRH has going into this match. The team has managed to overcome injuries, changed its team balance, and managed to find a way to win.
It is within touching distance of a playoff spot, something that seemed out of grasp even a week ago.
SRH has an advantage that it played its previous match at Sharjah. It knows what to expect from the conditions and is going to approach the game in much the same way.
Sandeep Sharma has been very good for SRH with the new ball and will be supported by Jason Holder. T Natarajan is the specialist death bowler (more Yorkers than anyone else in this season of the IPL), while Shahbaz Nadeem and Rashid Khan are the spinners.
Rashid Khan has gone for more than 25 runs this season just twice. With him in such imperious form, it appears as if SRH has a bowling attack that it can trust.
The batting looks a bit thin, though. David Warner is playing aggressive cricket and that could mean a decrease in his consistency. Wriddhiman Saha, Manish Pandey, and Kane Williamson are the other batsmen in the side. They are in form but far from being infallible.
The role of Jason Holder is going to be crucial in the lower order as there is no doubt that every single aspect of this SRH side is going to be tested against SRH.
David Warner, WP Saha, Manish Pandey, KS Williamson, Priyam Garg, Abdul Samad, Jason Holder, Rashid Khan, Shahbaz Nadeem, S Sharma, T Natarajan.
It is not easy to beat the Mumbai Indians. They have barely missed a beat after missing Rohit Sharma, one of the bestT20 batsmen in the world. The team has added Saurabh Tiwari to the team but he has not had to do much so far.
Ishan Kishan has been very good at the top and his partnership with Quinton de Kock has been excellent.
Hardik Pandya was rested in the previous match for Jayanat Yadav and could make a comeback for this final group match. We don’t think Mumbai is going to tinker with its lineup too much, though.
The bowling attack for the Mumbai Indians is exceptional. Jasprit Bumrah is now leading the race for the Purple Cap while Trent Boult is the highest wicket-taker in the powerplays. Rahul Chahar has been excellent in the middle and is in line for the emerging player of the tournament award.
Add the likes of Krunal Pandya, Nathan Coulter-Nile, and Kieron Pollard to the lineup and you have an all-international bowling attack. Wickets always seem to be around the corner and MI can adapt to any bowling conditions that it is confronted with.
The only possible weakness could be in the batting if MI loses a couple of wickets early. SO far, however, its middle order has been able to adapt pretty admirably.
Please make sure you check out the batting lineup after the toss because MI may be significantly weaker as a team of it chooses to rest its best players.
Quinton de Kock, Rohit Sharma, SA Yadav, Ishan Kishan, SS Tiwary, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Nathan Coulter-Nile, James Pattinson, Rahul Chahar, DS Kulkarni.
We are sure that the team that wins the toss is going to want to bat second. The advantage that SRH seemed to have batting second in the most recent match played here is going to be fresh in everyone’s memories.

The conditions in Sharjah were very favorable for bowling in the previous match. SRH bowled well and was able to prevent RCB from getting too many runs. They then chased down that total with ease. Kohli said after the match that the conditions became much better in the space of one inning.
This suggests that there is some dew that comes into play around the second half of the match.
Spinners are going to continue to dominate and a score of around 160 is going to be par batting first.

It is tempting to go with SRH in this match. The odds are better and the team seems to be in great form as well. However, the advantages that MI clearly has and the form its players seem to be in, makes it the clear favorite.
SRH has a lot that can go wrong or crumble under pressure and this is why we believe that MI is the team to bet on.
Bet on Mumbai Indians to win.
Trent Boult has been very good for MI with the new ball. He is going to have the SRH openers in his sights and we think there is a very good chance of him being successful. Ishan Kishan is in good form and Quinton de Kock is one of the highest run-getters in the entire IPL. MI has a great chance of winning this bet and you some money!
This is a bit of a hedge but we think this is a good idea to add to your bets for this match. There is enough data to show that the team that hits the most sixes wins most matches. If SRH does end up winning this bet then it may end up winning the match as well. A small bet to minimize your chances of losses is the smart thing to do.
Suryakumar Yadav has been in excellent form and top-scored just a couple of games ago. He has a point to prove after being left out for the Indian team and is highly motivated. He is also very good against the spinners. A return of 5x for this best is just incredible value. You should take advantage of it!
Warner played a scintillating knock against DC and was looking in good touch in the previous match as well. He smashed a six against Sundar before getting out. This aggressive manner of playing is when Warner is at his best. This is our favorite bet for the match.
