IPL 2019 is turning out to be an absolute blockbuster in terms of the kinds of matches we have seen so far. The big name players are turning up when needed and most of the contests have been close in nature. Sunrisers Hyderabad will be playing their next match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. SRH won while chasing a big total against the Rajasthan Royals in their previous match while the Royal Challengers Bangalore have lost both their matches so far.
The SRH vs RCB match is going to be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad. This was the ground where the lowest average run-rate was recorded in IPL 2018 but the first match of 2019 was a very high scoring affair. We are happy to see a better pitch this time around which should make for an exciting brand of cricket on show.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad made two changes to their side as Kane Williamson came back into the lineup. They left out Shakib Al Hasan and Deepak Hooda while bringing in Kane Williamson and Shahbaz Nadeem.
This strengthened their batting but made their bowling a bit weaker.
We think that SRH is going to stick with the same side against RCB as well. The move of having David Warner open with Jonny Bairstow has been paying dividends and we think this could turn out to be one of the best combinations of IPL 2019.
Kane Williamson follows at number three who is going to be his dependable best. The real surprise for SRH has been Vijay Shankar. He smashed 35 runs off 15 balls in his previous inning and brings power to the middle of the inning.
Manish Pandey at 5 and Yusuf Pathan at 6 followed by the bowlers seems a bit short on batting depth but that is only if the top-order gets taken out early.
The bowling for SRH has usually been its strength. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar had a night to forget as he gave away 55 runs in four overs as most bowlers struggled. Rashid Khan was the only one to keep some control on the proceedings.
A better performance from Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, and Shahbaz Nadeem can be expected. There are quite a few bowling options on the SRH bench so we would not be surprised to see one of them being given a chance somewhere down the line as well.
David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, V Shankar, Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, YK Pathan, Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, S Sharma, Siddarth Kaul.
Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers brought RCB to the brink of victory against the Mumbai Indians but were unable to get the team over the line. They were thwarted by some excellent bowling by Jasprit Bumrah and the frustration in the camp was clear to see at the end.
Another IPL season has started with a pair of losses for RCB and Virat Kohli will be desperate to arrest the slide early. We believe that RCB must back its batting to win because that is its real strength.
They have Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Shimron Hetmyer, Moeen Ali, and Colin de Grandhomme in the side. These are five genuine T20 match-winners and so the point of sending Parthiv Patel to open the batting is lost on us.
We would love to the top-5 batsmen come straight up and try to win the match for the RCB there itself.
Kohli and de Villiers have been in good form with both getting runs in the previous match. Ab de Villiers struck six sixes in his inning of 70 from 41 deliveries and can be expected to continue in the same vein.
Hetmyer and dr Grandhomme have not performed to expectations just yet but we don’t think they are in danger of losing their places right now. The real problem for RCB is its bowling.
Navdeep Saini, Mohammad Siraj, and Umesh Yadav form one of the weakest fast bowling attacks in the competition. Yuzvendra Chahal is excellent in T20 cricket but Moeen Ali and Colin de Grandhoome are not too dependable either.
We don’t see too many reliable bowling options for RCB at the end of the inning and they will struggle to keep the opposition from scoring freely in most matches. This is a side that definitely needs some scoreboard pressure to help it perform at its best.
Parthiv Patel, Moeen Ali, V Kohli, AB de Villiers, Shimron Hetmyer, Colin de Grandhomme, Shivam Dube, Prayas Barman, YS Chahal, Umesh Yadav, M Siraj.
The side winning the toss is likely to want to field first especially after seeing how easily SRH chased down 198 against Rajasthan Royals just a few days ago. The ball definitely seemed to be coming on better under the lights.

SRH vs RCB IPL 2019 match is going to be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad. The weather is expected to be good for cricket and no interruptions seem likely. The pitch was excellent for batting and better than we had expected.
There was pace, bounce, and enough carry to allow the batsmen to play their shots freely. This is not going to change in the matter of a few days and we should have another high scoring match to look forward to.
We think a score of around 180 can be considered par.
The pitch in Hyderabad proved to be brilliant for batting and that is why we have gone for a Dream 11 lineup that is filled with batsmen.
Wicket Keeper: The choice Parthiv Patel and Jonny Bairstow is easy to make. Jonny Bairstow is the far more accomplished batsman and equally good a gloveman as Parthiv Patel.
Batsmen: We have chosen the top batsmen from both sides to try and cover our bases. Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, David Warner, Kane Williamson are the players we have gone with. All of these players are in very good form and have been scoring runs in the recent matches. Kane Williamson has just returned to the side and is due for a big score as well.
All-Rounders: We have picked Vijay Shankar, Moeen Ali, and Colin de Grandhomme from this category. Vijay Shankar and Moeen Ali bat in the top-4 while Colin de Grandhomme is always an integral part of the bowling for RCB.
Bowlers: With so much spending on the other categories, we have had to settle for some value buys in the bowling department. Mohammad Siraj, Siddharth Kaul, and Sandeep Sharma are the bowlers that we have picked for this match.
Captain and Vice Captin: AB de Villiers is in tremendous form and we can't afford to look past him while Moeen Ali seems like a good choice for vice-captain. He is likely to open the batting and bowl his quota of four overs providing plenty of opportunities to score points.

SRH has the best home record in the IPL since 2016. They have won the last 16 out of their 22 matches at home and have lost just once in their last five matches against RCB. The RCB batting looks better than SRH on paper but not by much. SRH’s bowling strength, on the other hand, is far superior to what RCB has.
Back SRH to win.
