After their emphatic win against Rajasthan Royals and clinical batting supremacy against Mumbai Indians, they are methodically chasing the target with a sure purpose of improving their NRR beyond the reach of rivals. Their fielding has improved and they are jelling well with each other for the overall success of the team; their methodical plans for chase and giving finishing touches well before the last over to avoid anguish is working well for them. McCullum and Smith again settled down quickly and fired all over, scattering the Mumbai fieldsmen; Jadeja, Ashwin, Faf du Plessis are proving to be good all-rounders with Hilfenhaus contributing with his athletic fielding.
