The unpredictable weather of England came into picture once again as we saw two matches getting affected by rain on Thursday. Surrey and Sussex both had to stay content with a shared point and were consequently displayed by Kent as the table toppers.
Up next in the tournament, Surrey will want to reclaim their top of the table spot by posting a win over Hampshire, who they'll be facing in their next assignment. The match between Surrey and Hampshire is to be played on 18th June 2021 at The Oval, London.
Had it not been for the rain, Surrey would have had a shot at maintaining themselves at the top of the table, but now they'll need to register this win to reclaim their position back. They have done immaculately well up until now and will be a tad disappointed as they had to stay content with just one point.
As it stands, Surrey are placed third on the points table with seven points to their name and a net run-rate of 1.938. They were terrific in all of their first three matches as they registered colossal wins in each of those matches.
On paper, Surrey are a team as good as any. They have experience running right through their lineup and with the presence of versatile all-rounders in Sam Curran and Tom Curran, they have an immaculate balance. With the momentum they have, they will be brimming with confidence and beating them is not going to be an easy ask.

Hampshire had a poor run in the last edition of the competition and they haven't gotten off to the start they were looking for this year either. In the four matches gone so far, Hampshire have won just one and have a dismal net run-rate of -0.804. While this is a long tournament and they still have a lot of time at their hands, they would want to get some wins under their belt as quickly as possible.
Hampshire last registered a win a week ago as they defeated Essex Eagles in a closely fought match. Up until their last game, Hampshire were guilty of a misfiring batting unit and while that got resolved in the last match, their bowlers looked out of sorts. Their players have failed to fire in tandem, but they would need that desperately when they take on Surrey. If they can do that, Surrey will have their work cut out.

Surrey are a better team on paper and have done a better job in the tournament so far. They have the momentum and will be running high on confidence. For those reasons and the ones stated above, betting on a Surrey win should be the way to go here.
