Another match, another loss for Glamorgan - such disappointing has been the tournament for Glamorgan. They've played six games so far and are yet to get off the mark as far as scoring a win is concerned. They are set to face Sussex in their upcoming encounter, which is to be played on 6th August at County Cricket Ground, Hove. The two teams have had contrasting fortunes in the tournament so far with Sussex sitting comfortably at the second spot from the top of the table while Glamorgan is languishing at the bottom. Surrey are the only side which has been unbeaten in the tournament, and they'd love to keep it that way when they take the field at Hove on Tuesday.
Ever since the beginning of the competition, the Sharks have appeared to be playing at a different level as compared to their competition. They are the only team, which is yet to be beaten in the tournament and are coming into the next match with a three-match winning streak.
In their last match, they rampaged past Gloucestershire as a close contest was rendered a little less so with Glamorgan conceding a six-run penalty for a slow over-rate which left Sharks needing just seven off the final over.
With Jofra Archer set to join English side for the Ashes test, he is unlikely to be a part of this fixture considering his fitness issues. Reece Topley was rested in one of their previous matches owing to injury, and with a wide array of experienced quick bowlers available at their disposal, the Sharks could bring in Tymal Mills for one of their other fast bowlers. However, it is pretty unlikely that they would tinker with a winning combination.

One of the better playing sides in the last edition, Glamorgan haven't kicked off their campaign yet. Despite playing six matches in the tournament so far, they have just two points to their name and are yet to finish first in a game in this tournament.
While their bowling has done reasonably well in the tournament, their batting has by far been the worst performing unit in the competition. They have skittled out for under a hundred runs on quite a few occasions with their lowest total being 44.
In their previous match of the season, against Hampshire, their bowling did exceptionally well to restrict Hampshire to just 128, but their batting once again collapsed as they were dismantled for only 87, highlighting their vulnerabilities with the bat yet again.
The addition of Pakistani star batsmen hasn't helped their cause as either as Fakhar Zaman has been dismissed twice for naught and his form at the top of the order continues to be a massive concern for the management.
All in all, Glamorgan have plenty of issues going with their batting lineup and team combination and need to sort that out quickly. Barring Colin Ingram, none of their batsmen has looked even in the slightest bit of form, and unless they can improve there, things are going to be pretty tricky for them.
David Lloyd, F Zaman, Colin Ingram, Kiran Carlson, Chris Cooke, Jeremy Lawlor, Graham Wagg, Marchant de Lange, Andrew Salter, Lukas Carey, Michael Hogan.

Comparing the form of the two sides, Sussex are firm favorites to win the match. Having said that, there can be other factors as well, which can influence the course of the match. Glamorgan have a power-packed lineup that can very well destroy any bowling attack one their day, but the fact that none of their batsmen are in fine form is undoubtedly a big cause of concern for their management. Sussex Sharks, on the other hand, have almost everything going for them. With their batting doing exceptionally well and bowling complementing it to perfection, the Sharks are better placed to emerge on top in the upcoming fixture.
