The match between Sussex and Hampshire Vitality T20 Blast 2019 is going to be Sussex’s attempt to play its first game of cricket in this tournament. Its earlier scheduled match, also against Hampshire, was rained out without a ball being bowled.
Hampshire also saw its first game being rained and lost the second one to Kent by a small margin. This match against Sussex is a tough one but Hampshire has to believe it can get one past the finalists of last year’s T20 Blast.
We don’t think either of these sides would like another rained out game but if it did happen, Hampshire would definitely be the more pleased out of the two!
Sussex vs Hampshire Vitality Blast 2019 is going to be played at the County Ground, Hove on the 24th of July 2019.
We can get a good idea of what the Sussex playing eleven is going to be for this match because the toss did take place in the previous match and the playing eleven for Sussex was announced.
There is no reason to change it around and the same set of players is likely to take the field in this match as well.
The batting is going to depend on Phil Salt, Luke Wright, and Laurie Evans at the top of the order. This is not a bad top-order at all but we can’t help but wonder about the effectiveness of Luke Wright. He is no longer playing T20 cricket around the world and his previous season of the T20 Blast was a disappointment as well.
Delray Rawlins, David Wiese, and Ben Brown are going to form the middle order with Rashid Khan and the other bowlers to follow.
Sussex’s batting lineup is not bad and has plenty of T20 skill but it needs one of its top-order players to find form early.
The bowling is going to be led by Rashid Khan. Jofra Archer made a huge impact at Sussex but he is not going to be around in this season for too many matches. Rashid Khan was found out during the world cup but T20 cricket is his forte and we expect him to come back strongly.
With bowlers like Tymal Mills, Reece Topley, Danny Briggs, and Ollie Robinson, Sussex is a pretty well-balanced side.
Philip Salt, LJ Wright, Laurie Evans, Delray Rawlins, D Wiese, Ben Brown, Rashid Khan, Ollie Robinson, Danny Briggs, R Topley, TS Mills.
Hampshire lost its previous match to Kent after a disappointing batting performance which saw it make only 145 after batting first.
This will be a huge concern to Hampshire. Its T20 side is built around batting and to have it struggle to get enough runs on the board is not a good sign at all. James Vince was the only player who scored some decent runs at a good strike rate and that is something to celebrate.
Rilee Rossow, Aneurin Donald, and James Vince form a very strong top-3 which can definitely pull off an upset against Sussex.
In fact, with Sam Northeast, Chris Morris, and Liam Dawson to follow, Hampshire appears to be a stronger batting side than Sussex.
The bowling is also quite good for Hampshire and while it may not be as good as Sussex’s attack, it is not too far behind. We like the left-arm angle of attack from Liam Dawson and Chris Wood while Chris Morris, Kyle Abbott, and Mason Crane are all international bowlers as well.
Morris has the ability to bowl fast yorkers on command and can be a handful to score off at the death. It appears that Hampshire wants to keep Mason Crane for the end overs, on the evidence of their tactics against Kent, but that is a risky move since we don’t think Crane has the consistency to be able to land the ball where he wants every single time.
Aneurin Donald, Rilee Rossouw, J Vince, Sam Northeast, James Fuller, Chris Morris, LA Dawson, Lewis McManus, CP Wood, KY Abbott, Mason Crane.
The team that wins the toss may want to bat first and try to get a good total on the board. We don't think the pitch will change much and losing the toss is not going to be a huge disadvantage.

Sussex vs Hampshire Vitality T20 Blast 2019 is going to be played at the County Ground, Hove. The weather forecast for the match is excellent and we should be able to finally a game between these played out.
The pitch at Hove is going to be good for batting but will offer some help to the bowlers as well. Usually, a wicket that is excellent for cricket and one that allows for a balanced contest is seen.
The Dream11 Prediction for Sussex vs Hampshire is going to use the information of the playing eleven from their previous match and use it to make as accurate a Dream11 team possible. The team can be modified right up until the first ball is bowled so make sure all your players are in the playing eleven.
Wicketkeeper: We have selected Ben Brown as our wicketkeeping option. He is available for a relatively reasonable price and is handy with the bat when given a chance.
Batsmen: We have tried to pick the best batsmen from both sides in our Dream11 team for Sussex vs Hampshire. Rilee Rossow, Phil Salt, Luke Wright, James Vince, and Aneurin Donald are all in our side. The destructive potential of players like Rossow, Vince, and Wright makes them a must in the team while Salt and Donald are very handy T20 players as well.
All-rounders: Liam Dawson and Chris Morris are excellent all-round options for this match. They will bowl most of their quota of overs and be able to get some quick runs if needed.
Bowlers: Tymal Mills, Kyle Abbott, and Chris Wood are our picks for this match. They are all wicket-taking options that are going to be used at crucial times in the match. Abbott is the one we think is most likely to end up with a clutch of wickets from this group.
Sussex is a strong side and is going to be playing at home. They were the finalists last season and will have a lot of confidence coming into this match. We, however, cannot ignore the fact that Hampshire has assembled an impressive squad with some very good players.
We think its batting is better than Sussex and bowling attack equally potent.
Bet on Hampshire to win.
