For two matches now, the Sharjah Warriors have struggled to get around 160 and that has not proven to be enough. There has been a lack of scoring fluency from the top order with players like Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Evin Lewis, and Dawid Malan struggling. 

For some reason, Moeen Ali is batting lower down the order than where he has been the most productive and that is hurting the Sharjah Warriors. Players like Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Joe Denly, and Mohammad Nabi are all excellent players but need to start playing to their potential sooner. 

Chris Woakes went for 48 runs in the previous match, a big letdown considering he was the best bowler for the Sharjah Warriors in the previous match. Naveen-ul-Haq, Mohammad Nabi, Junaid Siddique, and Karthik Meiyappan were the other bowlers in the lineup in the previous match. 

Things are looking bleak for the Sharjah Warriors right now but it is important to keep in mind that all the players are world-class in their own right and can be match-winners.

MI Emirates

MI Emirates scored 204 in its opening match without any of its major leading players scoring too many runs. The highest scorer was Muhammad Waseem, 71 of 39 balls, who also smashed 5 sixes in that inning. We think that has to be seen as a bonus and cannot be something you rely on every match.

Will Smeed, Andre Fletcher, Nicholas Pooran, Andre Fletcher, and Kieron Pollard form a pretty strong batting lineup. 12 sixes were hit by MI Emirates in the previous match, a fantastic number but replicating that in this match is not going to be easy. 

Imran Tahir, Trent Boult, Fazalhaq Farooqi, and Dwayne Bravo form a very experienced bowling lineup. In fact, you would struggle to find more experienced players to play T20 cricket anywhere in the world. We worry about the players not being active in international cricket but on the basis of what we saw in the first match, the players that MI Emirates has picked are a good fit for the conditions.
