Brisbane Heat has been rising very fast on the league table with three wins in its previous three matches. A win in this match will see it rise to fourth on the table and be a real contender for one of the top-4 spots.
Sydney Sixers, on the other hand, are just slowing up a bit after a good start. They have lost two out of their previous three matches, including one to Brisbane Heat. The depth in their squad is very good, however, and they are still second on the league standings.
Sydney Sixers vs Brisbane Heat BBL 2020-21 is going to be played at the Carrara Oval, Queensland, on the 10th of January 2021.
The Sydney Sixers were demolished by the Perth Scorchers in their previous match. It was a performance that saw the worst the Sixers have to offer and is surely going to cause them to rethink their strategies a bit.
Jack Edwards was the only player that went past 20 runs in that inning as the batting frailties came to light.
James Vince, Jordan Hughes, Jordan Silk, and Josh Philippe are all very talented T20 players but they have not been able to continue their initial good form. Also, the Sydney Sixers were getting into tough positions and then escaping because of some brilliant individual performances.
Now that those performances have become rare, the Sixers are losing more matches. They still have a lot of power and depth in their batting, though.
The bowling for the Sydney Sixers has not been the best. Jake Ball is very expensive and we just do not see him being continued with. Jackson Bird is decent as are Daniel Christian, Craig Brathwaite, and Ben Dwarshius but this is not a strong bowling attack.

Things have turned around for Brisban Heat in the last week or so as their batting has started to click. The return of Chris Lynn to his powerful best has been something to enjoy and the other batsmen seem to be getting in form as well.
Joe Burns is striking the ball nicely, Max Bryant gets rapid starts before getting out, and Joe Denly has been striking the ball very cleanly as well. On current form, the batting lineup of Brisbane Heat is much better than that of the Sydney Sixers.
Lewis Gregory, Jimmy Pierson, and James Bazley add a lot of power in the lower order as well.
Xavier Bartlett, Jack Wildermuth, and Mujeeb ur Rahman are excellent bowlers while Lewis Gregory and Mark Steketee are decent as well.
The results have started going with the way of Brisbane Heat and they just seem a more dangerous unit at this time.

The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first. The pitch at the Carrara Oval is going to be good and not going to change much. Betting first and setting up a big total will provide the bowlers something to work with as well.

The Carrara Oval has been pretty high-scoring in recent matches and we think that trend is going to continue. There is no rain predicted for match day and so we should get an uninterrupted match.
This is a ground where the fast bowlers get some good rewards for their effort and we would advise keeping the top ones from both teams in the loop for the best bowler of the match.
A score of around 170 should be seen as par.
We are going to stick with the form team in this match and back Brisbane Heat to win. They have a powerful batting lineup and a pretty decent bowling attack as well. Sydney Sixers are a strong team but we think their team balance is a bit messed up at the moment.
Bet on Brisbane Heat to win.
