Sydney Sixers is the strongest team in the history of the WBBL. It has won more matches, titles, and been in the WBBL final more times than anyone else. It was a huge shock when it finished fifth in the previous edition.
This season, the Sixers have started with winning all their completed matches and are looking very dangerous. We still don’t think they have been at their best, though.
Up against them, this time is going to be Hobart Hurricanes. After two heavy defeats, the Hurricanes managed to dish out a 9-wicket thrashing to the Melbourne Renegades. That would have lifted some spirits in the camp for sure.
Sydney Sixers vs Hobart Hurricanes WBBL 2020 is going to be played at the North Sydney Oval, Sydney on the 7th of November 2020.
The Sydney Sixers are going to be very confident heading into this match. They finally managed to beat the Brisbane Heat after a poor recent record against them and are now sitting near the top of the WBBL league table.
Alyssa Healy has been in great touch and now Ellyse Perry has some runs to her name as well. Only Ash Gardner needs to get something significant under her belt to really put the cherry on the top. It is also interesting to note the ultra-aggressive approach that Gardner is taking in recent matches. It is going to spectacular to watch on the day she is able to bat for long enough.
Perhaps the presence of Marizanne Kapp, Dane van Niekerk, and Erin Burns below her in the batting order is allowing her to play freely.
Batting-wise, there is no comparison between the Sixers and the Hurricanes. Sydney Sixers is far ahead.
To give you an idea of the all-round strength that Sydney Sixers posses, 7 of the 10 wickets in the previous match were taken by Ellyse Perry, Erin Burns, and Ash Gardner. These are genuine batters as well and so lend a lot of balance to the side.
Marizanne Kapp and Dane Van Niekerk have also been pretty good with the ball. The contribution of the all-rounders takes the pressure off the bowlers that appear to be a bit less experienced.

An excellent bowling performance from the Hobart Hurricanes helped them bowl out the Melbourne Renegades for just 81. It was always going to be difficult to lose chasing that but never count out the Hurricanes!
Thankfully for them, they chased down the total with the loss of just one wicket. Their new additions, Rachel Priest and Naomi Stalenberg, both got runs and would now feel much more comfortable in their new environment.
Nicola Carey was brilliant with the ball as she took three wickets for just 14 runs. Belinda Vakarewa and Hayley Matthews were also very good.
Hobart Hurricanes were playing an out of form team with poor resources to begin in the previous match. That is not the case this time around. Not only will its bowling need to be better but its batting is going to be tested as well.
The Hobart Hurricanes may have registered a confidence-boosting victory against the Melbourne Renegades in their previous match but it is still going to take something extraordinary for them to challenge the Sydney Sixers.
Naomi Stalenberg, Rachel Priest, Hayley Matthews, Nicola Carey, Chloe Tryon, Corinne Hall, Sasha Moloney, Erica Kershaw, Amy Smith, Brooke Hepburn, Belinda Vakarewa.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to bat first. The Hurricanes may have won the previous match chasing but it is going to want some runs on the board to put pressure on the Sixers batting, assuming it wins the toss of course.

The rain seems to have withdrawn from Sydney and even though there are a few odd showers predicted, there is nothing that should threaten the match from taking place. The pitch at the North Sydney Oval is expected to be good for batting with the boundaries on the shorter side as well.
We could have a high-scoring game especially if the Sydney Sixers bat first. A score of around 140 seems to be par for the course.
We are going to stick with the Sydney Sixers in this match. We think their performances can still improve with players like Ash Gardner not having contributed just yet. The power, experience, and talent in the Sixers setup is far better than what the Hurricanes have.
Bet on the Sydney Sixers to win.
