SYTW vs MLSW Match Prediction - Nov 14, 2020

After breaking for a couple of days, the eight teams in Women's Big Bash League will resume their tussle for the one common goal. We are already past the half-way mark in the competition and each point hereon is going to hold a significant value. In what is anticipated to be the match of the season, Sydney Thunder are set to take on Melbourne Stars at Sydney Showground Stadium, Sydney on Saturday, 14th November 2020.

SYTW vs MLSW Team Previews

Sydney Thunder Women

Failing to build on the superb run in the first half of the tournament, Sydney Thunder lost an opportunity to get to the top of the table as they lost their recent game to Brisbane Heat. As it now stands, they are placed at the second spot on the points table with ten points in eight matches.

While their qualification to the next round by no chance appears to be in jeopardy, Sydney Thunder will want to get as many wins as possible in their next few matches. A couple of unfavorable results now can put them in a spot of bother.

In the tournament so far, Syndey Thunder have been fantastic and want to take their loss against Brisbane Heat as an anomaly. What had otherwise been pretty fluent in the tournament up until their last match, Sydney Thunder's batting failed to fire against Brisbane Heat as they were kept to a total of 111. Their bowlers, as well, failed to fire as Thunder lost the match in 16.3 Overs, and Heat having eight wickets in hand.

Melbourne Stars Women

Exactly opposite to Sydney Thunder, Melbourne Stars continued to assert their dominance with yet another win in their previous match. They are currently placed at the top of the table and another win here will seal them a spot in the semis. They have a strong incentive to continue doing well and we expect them to come hard in this match as well.

The Stars rampaged past Adelaide Strikers in their previous match, winning the match by five wickets. Chasing a total of 140, the Stars never looked in trouble despite losing Meg Lanning early in the chase. However, their other batsmen showcased the strength of Stars' batting as they cruised to the total without any fuss. Mignon du Preez and Elyse Villani added 92 runs for the second wicket, batting Strikers out of the match. Even though the Stars lost a few quick wickets towards the end, they never looked in a spot of bother.

Earlier in the day, the Stars did pretty well with the ball to restrict Strikers to a total of 140. Natalie Sciver was once again their top-most bowlers as she picked up four wickets for just 29 runs. She was ably supported by Day, Flintoff, and Sutherland who all picked up a wicket each.

SYTW vs MLSW Betting Tips

Both teams look pretty well settled on paper and picking between the two is hard only on the basis of on-paper strength. On the basis of recent performances and completeness, however, Melbourne Stars are far ahead of Thunder, and are, therefore, our pick to emerge on top on Saturday.
